My guess is you're not a week old like I am, my first giveaway in my first week it's pretty much asking for people to beg .

If people can see valuable stuff in your inventory, sooner or later someone will add you to beg/scam/lowball you for it. So un-hide those watch dogs gifts or unusual tf2 thingamabobs, and join in the fun... :)

Did they beg for a game when no giveaway was happening? When I refused to give him my game without him winning the giveaway, he tried to trade a game that he won a while back and I guess hasn't redeemed yet

Dunno, but I've started getting random invites since late yesterday evening as well.
Didn't get to the begging part, but I guess that's because I'm paranoid enough to ignore invites from people I don't know and can't trace back to something I'm involved in...

I don't have anything except trading cards and a few 50% off coupons in my inventory so that's really gonna matter to them haha. I don't get it either like they expect someone to abandon their giveaway so they can give them the game? How's that fair at all? I accepted :D

From experience, if you also affiliated with steamtrades, cath rate increases by %60(totally random percentage)
So if you want, go there and make new friends :)
