Mine wasn't neither at that time (especially since I bought a bundle just to join here and it worked...). I think, some of the bundles were added later on. At least I thought I've read it somewhere...

SG counts free-weekend games towards the 100$ mark. So if there was something like COD:Ghost Free Weekend you could join with only 40$.

Since when has it mattered whether the games on someone's account before joining were bundled or not? o_O

Can you point me to where it says you need $100 worth of non bundled games to join SG please?

When I joined a year ago, my account was almost exclusively populated with games from Humble Bundles and I had no problem at all joining SG.

"What are the base requirements to join the site?

We require all registered users to have at least $100.00 worth of games associated with their Steam account. This
is to prevent users from creating multiple Steam accounts for use on this site, which might result in cheating.
This value is automatically generated when you register, using the game list from your Steam profile."

plus http://www.steamgifts.com/forum/vUnIE/ = 100$ in non bundled/exploited games.

Nowhere in your post or the thread you linked does it say that to join, your account must have at least $100 worth of non-bundled games.

The link you provided is only about contributor value for giveaways created once you're a member of the site.

Maybe that was because you only had $99?!? o_O

But it seems that there's new information not included in the FAQ, that's been brought to my attention by Zelghadis. He's not the type to lie, especially about something so trivial, so I guess you were actually right, but in a very strange way. o_O

It's been like this for a while now, at least since my girlfriend joined. It makes sense too - so that people won't just buy some humble bundle for $1 and get tons of alt accounts to join giveaways.

FAQ is dated - but it is actually 100$ excluding bundle and exploitable/free games.

The FAQ for SG in this forum won't matter for much longer and I do believe a new one is already started for SGv2, thanks for the heads up anyway though. :D

I just joined 3 weeks ago, I had faced the same 100$ of games not included in bundles to join criteria. Finally had to buy sleeping dogs so that I would clear the 100$ to join SG

Set steam profile, public, so that steamgifts.com can see the actual value of his account, cheers.

He should be able to join when there's a free weekend for an expensive game. A friend of mine got in that way, because the game (worth about $50) showed up in his library, even though he didn't buy it.

It really seems to me if exploits like this exist then each bundle game should count for like $1 towards joining so that people can join legitimately. How many fake accounts are going to have 100 bundle games anyway.

I knew there'd be some but its nothing compared to people who get in via free game weekends or by buying bundles before the games get put on the list or by buying non-bundle games at 85%+ off which would generally be even cheaper than buying 100 bundle games.
