Developers giving betas?... This is kidding?

But beta keys aren't public. Guest passes and demos are. See the difference? You aren't effected if they put up beta giveaways. The people entering them ARE effected. Essencially you're saying because you don't want it, no one else can. Like if I give everyone here a single scoop of free ice cream, you're crying in the corner saying no one can have ice cream because you want two scoops of free ice cream and one isn't good enough.

Who gives a crap whether the overall contrib value is 1.6 million or 200.000 billion ? And more importantly, why would anyone care ? It's just meaningless numbers anyway.

These aren't betas for EA out Activision, they're for small developers likely working out of their home in their free time.

In that case, the problem would be that that account is breaking the rules, not what they gave away nor whether or not they received contrib value for it.

Right, but it seems like if he can read and tell that some developer giveaways are beta keys, I don't know why he wouldn't be able to with all of them. If he didn't know it was a beta I'd blame it on some mistake, not his English, since it's obviously good enough to be able to identify developer beta giveaways well enough to complain about them.

I OWN Burger King, I sell MANY Burgers. I have practically unlimited Burgers. I could give 10 burgers to poor people and it would barely affect me. But I chose not to. I just give them a taste, So they buy one from me.

Im not talking about giving unlimited copies. Im talking about them HAVING unlimited copies.

They could give 10-20 away if they really wanted to contribute, Instead of "loaning" the game to us.

Theres a difference between giving away a GAME and a BETA for a paid game.

Giving away a BETA is like giving away a DEMO, Maybe even worse. Sure you can try it, But after a bit you ahve to PAY to keep playing. In other words: You didnt contribute to the site.

You gave away something that cost you nothing in the hope that the people you gave that "taste" to will PAY you to get more. (For example: Dude gives you weed for free to "try it out" for the first time, Just so you like it and keep buying from him. Profit for him)

They could giveaway a few games like I said then they would have contributed. A few would ENJOY the game forever. And like you said, They gotta make profit so they cant giveaway THAT much, Thats why I said ~20 game orso. 10, 15, 20, 25? Not much. Not much loss for the devs and a HUGE contribution to the site.

They gave away a million keys in other sites, I myself have like 4 keys (Gave away all in another forum). I got them like a week ago. No need to wait and HOPE I get a key here :P

Infact, I just finished playing the Beta myself for today, Awesome game. Im just saying that if they really wanted to CONTRIBUTE, They would give atleast a few free copies. Something around 20 orso right?

I know that Ive given away 4 games. Not awesome games really, I admit but 4 small games.

What have the devs given away? 750 demos of a game. You play them less than a week before theyre gone. (I think you only get to play 2 days after giveaway ends & Then the beta is over? IDK)

While the people that I gave away my games to are hopefully enjoying them now, After WEEKS of getting them, People that got into the Beta wont be able to play anymore in a few days unless they buy it.

Dont get me wrong, Its great that they do it, But they could do MUCH MUCH MUCH better. If they really wanted to contribute they would giveaway even just a few copies.

I do. You are a beggar. Betas are usually closed/limited so you can be happy to participate in it, even for those few days. All your comments are selfish, grow up.
