Saints Row The Third -75%, keys region-locked?

Heyz,

Saints Row The Third is available at a 75% discount at getgamesgo.com. Does anyone know whether the keys are region-locked? I already got a key for the game on greenmangaming.com once and it was unusable here in Germany.
I'd contact support but the sale will likely be over before they answer me.

Anyone?

Is that generally the case with ggg? Like I said, I got screwed once on another site. Also, I'd much rather have the uncensored version. The German version is heavily cut.

It will likely be €7,49. Problem is, if I buy it on Steam, I'm definitely getting the censored version.

Alright, this answers my question. Faking one's IP is required to activate it in Germany. I'm not going to risk my account with over 500 games in it for that.

You can try to find someone who buys the game on Steam as a gift from another country, this is allowed.

Hey everyone,

sorry to bump this thread but I just wanted to give you an update.

So I asked an American friend of mine to buy the game for me on Steam and indeed I got the uncut version. Then I bought the Season Pass, myself, which includes several DLC packs. Now I'm getting error messages in the game, telling me the previously available DLC is missing. Steam support is answering something other than the questions I'm asking. THQ support tells me the German DLC isn't compatible with the international version. At least THQ replied quickly and to the point.

I guess I trusted Steam not to let me buy incompatible DLC. Also I have an uncut version of Killing Floor that I bought DLC for in the German store and I've had no problem with that.

I guess I'm stuck with a crippled version of the game as I don't see how I could remove the DLC from my library. If only I could do that, I could get the international version of the Season Pass and fix the problem. Bleh.

Ask Steam support they will remove it. No refund though.

You should expect that if game is censored in Germany, then Steam won't accept keys from other countries. Even when game is region-free.
