I'm not quite sure - here is an official info directly from Humble Bundle. According to this article most games are indeed region locked (from my GAs only SR2 seems semi-ROW, only Germany excluded...or maybe DE versions of the SR games activate only in Germany and other countries get the ROW keys which can be also activated in Germany? Maybe German version is low violence or something like that? I don't really know because I'm not from Germany).

I have no idea how the region locks work, but I was able to redeem a Deadlight Directors Cut EU key in the US.

Great news but I prefer to stay transparent and use only the official info. This way there is a chance of evading rerolls and the potential wrath from SG support ;-)

Again, from your link - This site is not affiliated with Valve, Steam, or any of their partners. As far as I know Humble Bundle is in fact an official key distributor, so probably a Valve partner, thus I rely on info they provide about the keys they distribute. Not my concern if the locks work otherwise.

You'd guess that the seller of officials keys should know what regions are locked and which are okay. But very often the provided info on those keys are wrong(If there are any at all).
But I woudn't even be surprised if the publisher from whom they get the keys gives them this wrong information and actually none in the whole process has any idea wtf is going on. :D

All info about region locks getting from steam client, use console and write app_info_print (app id in the store) and another command
steamdb.info do all this work for ur with steam client
Humble Bundle dont have real info about region locks, but they start post template answers, because people to many ask support

I get it, I use SteamDB myself but that really is not a point here. I just want to be on the safe side if someone, who is explicitly stated by Humble Bundle as locked, would have a problem with redeeming those keys. SteamDB is not an official source in this regard, just like the reports of users from SG. I don't really give a damn about how in fact those locks work or not. I hope that it is clear now.

people just wanted to make clear that steamdb is not an unofficial source, as you seem to think. it's an unofficial site that displays official information. it is way more reliable than humble bundle. they and many others published misinformation about region locks in the past. steamdb simply tells us the facts.

I don't really get why HB should give region restricted keys. You pay the same amount in dollars wherever you buy them from.

I like these kind of giveaways. I can always play the game of "how long before someone from a different region enters despite the warning and which one will it be?"
