Right, but what about false positives? I can see having a rule against accounts that are currently VAC banned, but the "has never been VAC banned" is a little far, imo. Granted my account has never been VAC banned, but I have friends that got flagged and it was later removed because it was a false positive.

most likely.. just an unfortunate incident to which people give even less of a thought about.

I thought Valve never removed VAC bans even if it's a false positive.. because Valve.

Edit: I actually looked at the page and it says it will be removed automatically if it's found to be given incorrectly.

You're correct. There was a time when Valve did not remove VAC bans for any reason, because Valve. People who got flagged incorrectly were without recourse in those days. I think at some point they realized they were incorrectly flagging accounts so they relaxed that policy. I feel no pity for people who use aim-bots, speed hacks, wall hacks, etc. But I think it is wrong to just assume that if an account was ever flagged then they are a cheater. Due process is a thing.

I don't know if the VAC has a judicial system, tho. All jokes aside, it sucks but well.. that's what they decided.

It sucks if you got a false positive. But in the end, the people who made the GAs have the right to not allow those people.
