I dont know how it is right now, but if you are planning to play GW2 and enjoy everything it offers be prepared to have a core group of friends with which you can run dungeons or pvp otherwise you'll be stuck with idiots in pvp and reduced to graveyard running in dungeons because there is no dedicated healer class.

Its worth it.Game regularly gets content patches(like in every 2 months). While you can level up quickly even at lvl 80 you can enjoy every low level zone like you are a low level which makes the exploring world thing a hell lot of fun.
Also its possible to get decent gear quickly at 80.There is a lot of gear options and a lot of ways to optain them.Ascended and legendery pieces will take more time but ascended have better stats while legendary weapons look great.
The problem with the game is you need friends to enjoy it alot. You either have to get in a really active guild that does pve or pvp or both (whatever you prefer) or you have start playing the game with friends.Game gets boring really fast at lvl 80 when you are playing alone.
