All the above is true. OP must live a smelly existence. On topic though, I've not talked to anyone about GTAV at all. It seems there's no hype amongst me & my friends. As for online, I've only seen a few people getting excited for it. Strangely though, I've seen a lot of hype for Saints Row 4.

Overhyped? No. We've been waiting for it for years.

I don't know all the hype, but I saw my neighbor playing GTA at 4 am this morning and when I woke at noon he's still playing.

Everything looks nice except the character design. That looks pretty sketchy.

I am sure this game will turn water into wine and turn into a giant fascist killing robot when assembled correctly. At least, that's what I feel like they're advertising.

Yeah, there is a ton of hype about it. I'm not even thinking about buying the game. NOt because of how much the game cost, but because my PC will run it at 5 fps.

That depends on the level of effort the developers decide to put in if they get around to porting it to PC.
The port for GTA IV is so poorly optimized that only now are computers able to run it decently at it's maximum settings. Max Payne 3, however, showed what happens when a developer takes the time to PROPERLY port a game to the PC. If we can get this from Max Payne 3, and these guys are saying they can build GTA V in it's present capacity to run on a 2 separate custom chipsets, processors, and GPUs from 2005 and 2006 with 512MB of RAM, then it can run even better on our PCs granted a proper effort is made to execute a port (I'm looking at you, The Force Unleashed).

agreed, max payne in the ass run really great unlike gta 4 or even sr2

It looks very nice, but the integration of 3 characters makes me a bit weary. For starters, it will probably make missions a bit more linear (If they weren't bad enough already in GTA IV), and it may make managing weapons and ammo a bit more tedious (Not sure how it works, but it will be annoying if your weapons come separate for every character). Last, but not least, what will the future of all GTA games be? Will they all involve 3 characters now?
I'm excited that GTA V is coming out, but I'm afraid that the series may just topple itself over by trying to constantly add things only for the purpose of being different from previous games.
