Too much hype for GTA V?

Just a new GTA is enough to keep me going, even if it doesnt live up to the hype im still gonna play it and love it

Overhyped? No. We've been waiting for it for years.

There's ALWAYS a shitload of hype for GTA. I don't think its any more or less than IV or San Andreas.

Someone mentioned the gameplay video in a chat when that video was first released. Then I watched the video later that day.
Now, there's this topic. That's the extent of the "hype" I've (consciously) seen.

I'm pretty damn excited.

Hype is all GTA has left going for it.

I don't know all the hype, but I saw my neighbor playing GTA at 4 am this morning and when I woke at noon he's still playing.

To be fair, the game looks really sweet :)

Everything looks nice except the character design. That looks pretty sketchy.

Is the game still only for consoles? If it is not for PC too, I'm not interested = no buy (:P)

GTA has always been mediocre but its wackiness and childish antics always attracted a large fanbase of kids aged 12-16.

I am sure this game will turn water into wine and turn into a giant fascist killing robot when assembled correctly. At least, that's what I feel like they're advertising.

Yeah, there is a ton of hype about it. I'm not even thinking about buying the game. NOt because of how much the game cost, but because my PC will run it at 5 fps.

It looks very nice, but the integration of 3 characters makes me a bit weary. For starters, it will probably make missions a bit more linear (If they weren't bad enough already in GTA IV), and it may make managing weapons and ammo a bit more tedious (Not sure how it works, but it will be annoying if your weapons come separate for every character). Last, but not least, what will the future of all GTA games be? Will they all involve 3 characters now?

I'm excited that GTA V is coming out, but I'm afraid that the series may just topple itself over by trying to constantly add things only for the purpose of being different from previous games.

It looks good, but hype is never, ever good. Not even a little. Of course, the only game that I got super excited for and preordered was Red Dead Redemption, and that's in my top 5 favorite games ever. So maybe it's not always bad.
