Friend got scammed

Recently, my friend traded a Falchion Knife scorced for a copy of gta 5. Within 10 minutes of getting the game, the trader revoked the gift, and still has the knife. Will steam support do anything because it was a trade?

I think they should do something when trade was done via trade window, but is Steam Support is not guaranteed. Also depends on the support member and if they even gonna read the ticket.

I had similar issue, with revoked gift, but I traded games, they reverted trade, but Support member was nice, I remember another guy they did not even read his ticket, just replied with automated messages.

i also had a trade reverted (1 revoked gift, got my tf2 keys back, the trader got trade-banned) but it was 2 years ago.

they should be able to restore the item traded, after all the trade was "legal" using their system.
