They are able to edit the discussion category, not the title or description.

Hi everyone,
There's been a change to roles in the community. A few of the previous roles have been renamed and one new role has been added to the site. The roles are now...
The first three roles are the same as in the past. The previous Support role caused some confusion when referring to support (as a whole) and Support (the role), so that's one of the reasons for the updated name. The new Ultra Moderator role has a few additional permissions, such as being able to post to the Announcements category, and being able to edit our internal support documentation to help keep it up-to-date with common questions we experience when moderating.
However, the most notable change is that users with the new role are able to add additional support members and revise existing support members. Although I'm happy with the support team we've been able to build over the years, I feel it's time we have more people to help manage and grow that team. This should allow us to expand the team at a faster rate and adapt to changes when we feel there is a shortage of support. It'll also help to ensure existing users in support are reviewed and promoted to higher roles in a more timely manner. In the past it was just myself managing the roles and this became a bottleneck at times, with long delays between the recruitment of new support users. With multiple people managing the team it should be a more efficient process.
The users with the new role are...
They've both been helping moderate our community for a long time, and I think they're well-suited for the position.
