Yeah, it's true. But the community is pretty good. So I've never really had a problem finding strangers to team up with.

Interesting! Thanks for sharing those. I have The Swapper, it's a great little game. Quite challenging puzzles too.

N++
Epistory - Typing Chronicles
Nuclear Throne
Wings of Vi

Epistory looks very cool, added that to my wishlist now! cheers :-)

Tabletop Simulator is amazing, I highly recommend it! It's great with friends, but you can play with randoms too. Pretty much any board/card game ever has been ported to it. I even made a handful of mods/games for it :)

If you get Tabletop simulator, feel free to check out the mods I made for it on my Steam profile. Great game :)

I didn't know a steam version of N++ was being developed, I'm super excited for it now. Thanks for mentioning it :D

Holy crap! N++!
I had older versions of the game like... 7 Years ago or something!
That game is still alive? :O

Added to my Android wishlist instead, as it looks like it would be better on mobile. Cheers!

some wishlisted games i never see here
Dig or Die
LEGO Worlds
Stonehearth
Torment: Tides of Numenera
Valhalla Hills

Focusing on games I rarely see given away:
Umihara Kawase series (cheating a bit because it's more than one game :v )
Gun Wings
Axiom Verge
Steredenn
Mystik Belle

And I'll cheat a little bit more by adding one more game. :P I didn't mention it because it's a very recent release, and IMO it didn't entirely fit with the ones that have been around for a while but still had few GAs. Who knows, maybe this one will have a massive amount when it gets on a bigger sale.

Sunless Sea is hugely atmospheric. It has more Gothic horror than it knows what to do with.
It felt a bit unfinished to me, though (at least when I played it some months back).

I've put a lot of hours in to Sunless Sea. It's nicely done, but quite time consuming to make any progress.

I often add upcoming releases that catch my eye to my wishlist. Here are a few that look interesting to me:
Rise & Shine
Death's Gambit
DESYNC
InnerSpace
Inversus
Metrico+

Awesome, I'm glad to see Death's Gambit is finally listed. I remember seeing the animated gifs of a side-scrolling pixel graphic "Shadow of the Colossus" last year - I couldn't actually remember the name but thanks for the reminder, it's now on my wishlist too!

Thinking of it as "Shadow of the Colossus" come again makes me more excited about it. I wish they'd remake that game. It was a thing of beauty (and DG looks to be one also).
Comment has been collapsed.
Yes I agree. Shadow of the Colossus was one of my favorite games on PS2/3, I'd love an updated remake for PC or PS4. Bit I doubt that will ever happen. At least we might get The Last Guardian someday, right :-)

CrossCode
It's a really great looking JRPG, that reminds me maybe of a cross between Final Fantasy 6 and Zelda :D
Very beautiful artwork, and interesting gameplay.
The developers are very active on the Steam hub and on their own website, and you can see what they're working on and they take time to discuss with everyone.
Pretty interesting story about an online game, but the game takes place on a real planet, and when you play, your mind links up to control a physical avatar (android?) that runs around in real environments on the real planet.
Possibly the best thing about it? It's NOT made with RPG Maker!!!!!!! hooray! :D <3

The sad thing about CrossCode is that the giveaways for it don't happen that often because it got bundled early. I REALLY hope going with a bundle-eager publisher isn't going to bite the devs in the ass later, because I had the game high in my wishlist.

Yeah, that bundle came out in December. https://isthereanydeal.com/specials/#/search:%23%3A2836;/scroll:%23gamelist

Pit People looks fun - I also liked their other games.
D4 is good! It's like having control over the worst actor in a cheesy TV detective show. Love it.

I'm really enjoying it, so I think so.
You may encounter some problems with the port:
Remember to save often, you never know when the game could crash :P

Thanks to this site, I've discovered a lot of games from giveaways which I've added to my Steam wishlist.
So in this thread please post some interesting looking and possibly not-so-well-known games from your own wishlist that you think others should take a look at. Try to pick games you rarely see given away on here! I know many of you may have hundreds of games on your wishlist, so let's set a limit and say you can recommend up to 5 games from your wishlist. Please link to the Steam store page to make it easy for everyone to browse :-)
They can be regular games, early access, not yet released etc. As long as there's a steam page to add it to your wishlist. I figure it's a good way to discover some new games that maybe some people weren't aware of.
So, here are 5 from my wishlist:
Vagante
Nice looking pixel-graphic rogue-like (with co-op too!).
Darkwood
Still in Early Access, but looks very decent. Procedurally generated, top-down RPG horror.
RUINER
A kind of futurisitc, cyperpunk Hotline Miami vibe going on here. Devolver Digital released a new trailer on youtube, but it's not on the Steam page yet for some reason.
Midnight Animal
A standalone mod of Hotline Miami, approved by the devs. Not released until August, but it'll be free to play!
Jotun
A beautiful looking adventure based on Norse mythology.
GIVEAWAYS!
Finally, not a requirement just an idea if you're feeling generous, post a giveaway to a game that was on your wishlist, but you now own!
Here's a giveaway for Feist which was on my wishlist until recently. So far it's very beautiful and reminds me a lot of LIMBO. It appears to be quite short, but enjoyable :-) The giveaway runs for a week. I might add a few more giveaways during the week :-)
One more giveaway, not from my wishlist, but still has good reviews. Fallen Enchantress - Legendary Heroes.
Zoey1 is kindly giving away DISTRAINT. Cheers, Zoey!
Iracional88 kindly adds To The Moon. Cheers!
IovoI, our owl faced friend, kindly adds Risen. Thanks!
small update...
Thanks for all the great suggestions so far. I'm glad to see that many of you are also expanding your wishlist because of this thread!
Here's a few extra giveaways:
No Pineapple Left Behind
Town Craft
Julai
Fishworm has kindly added a giveaway for This War of Mine. Cheers, fishworm!
Bastirei kindly invites you to his Home, just remember to bring some drinks with you. Cheers, bastirei!
