Quote from the Devs:

We will be locking all keys that were purchased in bundles from any 3rd party website 1 month after the bundle is over. This should give more than enough time for people who purchased the bundle enough time to activate their game. After that time, we will NOT re-issue any steam keys so make sure you activate your keys within the month you receive the bundle. For those who may have gotten the keys as a gift or sold on a trade website, chances are they will no longer work if the time has expired.

We will be stopping the free access key offer to "Fasaria World Online" for "Angels of Fasaria 2.0" and "AoF World Online" by July 1st. If you have the game and would like to claim your key, now is the time. Once the offer is closed, it won't be available again.

I don't know, if a bundle is running right now. I just wanted to tell you guys, that you have to be carefull if you got or will get a key of this game in a bundle because the devs announced that they will lock the keys 1 month after the bundle has ended.

Thank you :) It's the Hump Day bundle 15 from IG it seems. Bit weird to post this now as the bundle is almost 6 months old...

Yeah, I know what you mean. Hmm... to be honest, I don't know what the dev will do with this keys. The announcement from the dev was posted only a few minutes before I posted it here.

Never understood why devs would lock/revoke keys way after a bundle was sold. At best you only piss off a few people. At worst you just put a huge nail into your own coffin.

One reason could be because they see how cheap bundle keys destroys value of their game.

Could be, but you'd think most of the 'damage' is done by that time.

How is this even legal? Most countries purchase laws that I've encountered say you buy it, you own it. Imagine if Ford said, if you dont drive your car for 30 consecutive days it will be reclaimed as forfeited property.

I also don't think that this is legal. Well, not long ago we had another dev who did this. His game is now removed from steam. So we'll see how this will end...

You don't buy game, you just buy license to use it. This means customers does have less rights than with car purchase. So it can be legal if it's communicated when you purchase it.

So if you are asked to register product key within 30 days and you do not do it, it's your fault, not sellers.
[Actually failing to register car is illegal and liable to get you fined.]

This is common with console codes sold physically, usually have expiry date tagged. (Even if they don't actually expire).

Doesn't surprise me. The way they have handled their games on Steam has been really confusing, which generally means incompetent or manipulative. They kept releasing new ones, pulling them, changing names. I am not even sure what I own from them at this point and where any of it originally came from. I remember there was one game (Ancients of Fasaria: Celestias Angelica), then it got DLCs, then the DLCs became games or something. Then the original game changed names or went away or was upgraded or something. I think it is AOF World Online or something, now.

The second game (Ancients of Fasaria: Battle Tactics [Strategy/Building MMORPG]) came out like a couple of months after. Who knows what happened with that one. It says I own the package, but I don't see it anywhere and it looks like it was just pulled from the system. I have no idea if we got something for owning it or not. It looks orphaned.

Then I bought Fasaria World Online and that seems to still be around. I also got Angels of Fasaria: Version 2.0 from, I think the Build A Greenlight 8 from Groupees. So I have no idea what the second game turned into or if they stole that one from me, too. They only have four games listed, now (The 4th is Chess Club).

So yeah, my head is officially spinning. I really don't like this developer.

Yeah, that much I know, but those are the games currently there. They have changed the names of some, released past DLCS that got turned into other things, and they have removed some of their stuff.

Seems that the devs changed their mind after some users complained about locking the keys. Here's the new announcement:

Quote:
After speaking with some players very unpleased about the time limit for 3rd party bundled steam keys, we decided to remove the time limit after all. You all deserve better and I appreciate your support and words of encouragement. You could have gotten angry with us (deservingly) but you kept your cool, contacted us and gave your opinions.

Business as usual, all keys purchased in the past and future will NOT have a limit on them. The only keys that will have a limit on them are the free access keys for Fasaria World Online which will stop in July.

Please, always reach out to us when there is something you don't like or agree with, we are always open to listen.
