A run lock means that during the first 90 days after activation, you can run the game only in the activation region of the key.
Say, you redeemed a SEA key and the package has a run lock, it means you can run the game only in SEA countries for the first 90 days (afterwards you can run it from anywhere). If you travel outside SEA during these 90 days, you won't be able to start it.

Hardspace: Shipbreaker would likely be right up my lane if I didn't have such a large stockpile to play through already. Can't say I'm remotely interested in any of the other games on offer, although, this is pretty normal considering I almost never buy October bundles and November is iffy, consistently.

Shipbreaker is high on my wishlist, Prodeus was wishlisted as well so nice bonus. Went ahead and canceled anyway since, as it seems in my case, I don't get any coupons in my mail ever. Been subbed (mostly skipping) since the start of monthly (now mostly pausing with choice) so I don't know how many continuous years on the no-coupons-for-you,-classic-plan, but gonna focus on the backlog for now and if they wanna shoot me a discount to rejoin, I may take a bite.

Humble has many more region locks more recently I noticed. I suggested to put the region info on all the bundle pages because many people may consider to trade or giveaway games they arent going to use themselves, cant run on their system etc, and then might buy a bundle they would not usually because of that. Who knows if they will do that or not.

You can pretty much disregard the gift link notification, as USA purchases receive worldwide-redeemable keys for WWE 2K23 and Souldiers, while Friends Vs Friends is the only game which actually has region restrictions (for USA purchases).

Interesting. Yes, I got the HB region warning for USA key when I checked as you have posted them, but according to the main post thats the EU/EMEA region list and its saying the USA package/key is actually redeemable everywhere (and also Souldiers), but only Friends Vs Friends having actual region locks if that is the case. I guess I need to learn how to check the package for the key then given just to double check sometimes the package doesnt change such as when out of stock for months and comes back as I've had also a few times.

Anyone know why Czech Republic is not on the "Can redeem this product" list but the person I gave WWE 2k23 to from there easily used the code? I bought the bundle from Serbia, and looking over the Gift Link region lock notification, there was no CZ code there, yet the game worked. This is the EU version of the key.

In case you're talking about HB's region warning, it's often not accurate and not aligned with the actual sub you're getting with your purchase. The region locks in Lilly's posts are the correct ones

Because the actual region locks of that package are not "can be redeemed only in EU countries" as the gift link notification probably claims (I didn't see one for EU yet), but "can be redeemed everywhere apart from RU/CIS, LATAM, SEA". Click the sub link in the OP and you'll see exactly what I mean.
It's not a EU-locked key, it's an EMEA key, so Middle-East and Africa can also redeem it.

I get that, but Humble did basically say, "If person isn't in these countries, they might not be able to redeem the game", not "It can be redeemed everywhere apart from X,Y and Z", so that threw me off. I was told the key read WWE 2k23 (Europe) when it was redeemed. Gonna ask the friend to give the ID thing and see what it actually is.

What Humble actually says and the actual region locks for the key they give you are two different things.
Therefore every Humble Bundle thread on SG lists the real region locks and not what Humble Bundle claims them to be.
And btw, "cannot be redeemed in..." also includes those countries that don't receive the game at all, yet are perfectly able to redeem the key.

So i activated the wwe key in Malaysia, got asia version, turns out its unavailable in the region. I thought i was available here? not really good at looking at region locks type of stuff, would appreciate an explanation

Did you manage to redeem the key? The WWE 2K23 key for SEA that you received has a run lock, which means that the game cannot be launched during the first 90 days after activation unless you're located in one of Taiwan, Hong Kong, China, Singapore, Malaysia, Philippines, Viet Nam, Thailand, Indonesia, Sri Lanka, Cambodia, Lao People's Democratic Republic, Brunei Darussalam, Macao, India. Is this what you mean by "its unavailable in the region"?

Yeah i managed to redeem the key but it says unavailable in your region. I believe its what you said, run lock. my region is malaysia but i'm guessing theres something wrong. maybe i will just wait 90 days
