There were evidence of Valve working on it in DOTA 2, when they updated the Source engine. Nothing confirmed back then (and Valve has a history of trolling people with false leaks), but there were code not related to DOTA 2 that made references to HL3. It's been suggested that this was an intentional leak, as Valve was very slow with "fixing" it.

Now let's see how long it actually takes Valve to release the game. Delays seem to be the norm for them (TF 2 was announced back in 1998, and Team Fortress classics was released to advertise their upcoming game)

It confirms Microsoft had an interest in Halo making available on Steam. It's likely that they cancelled the project or best case scenario, put it on hold.

i bought a super cheap one with games included basically just for it :p
of course i was already planning buying some other exclusives like the ones announced on E3, for example ZERO HORIZON :3
then i sold the games that came with it, and it made the purchase even more worth it, only kept Last of Us, since it was exclusive too and a great damn game!

Las of Us really does seem interesting too. I'm not much of a console gamer, I own gamepad for PC though. Maybe I'll buy PS4 when it has a great discount here :p seems though it never has.

Every year, it drops price and adds games and/or ps plus and/or extra ps4 controllers, wait 1 more year, and you're good to go, here in Portugal, this year dropped again a lot and added games as extras (:
