I'm new to the Steam Gifts community, and I would really like to get in or at least check out some of these groups, but the requirements seem overwhelming for some. I'd love you guys to name/link some of your favorites, or give me any tips for the site, as I'm just now reading about whitelisting, groups, etc. I have several dozen games to give away that I've gotten from fanatical bundles, so let me know where I should be giving those away!

I second that, Unlucky7 is a good group to begin with. It gives you time to get to know the community, as many gifters are active or founding members of other groups). And the people are nice.

Depending on how much you want to "commit".

There's a bunch of groups that require you to make regular group-only giveaways or keep good won/gave difference. Those might be a good place to be if you have a lot of games to give (groups like Gifts of the Beast).

Then there's a bunch of groups that require you to play thr games you win (to a certain extent). Those are great if you're interested in actually playing the games you win (or if you want to give your games to people that will play them). Groups like Play or Pay, Taleplay, Play a Game You Won on SG, Playing Matters, SG Magazine. I've discovered a lot of amazing games by being "forced" to play my wins that I otherwise wouldn't touch, so I can recommend these groups wholeheartedly.

Read the requirements & rules of a group before clicking "request to join"...

Lootboy SG is a very useful group to join, if you occasionally have keys, that you are not reasonably sure, that they will work - members are obliged to allow deleting failed GAs without a fuss.

As the leader of the Unofficial SteamGifts Magazine (SGM) group, I'd say that's a good group to join. We mainly focus on entering giveaways, playing your wins, and writing reviews for the magazine! You can also help out with other things, if you would like ;)

You can check out what we do here :)
