Congrats!
If I continue with giveaways in the same tempo as my first time here it would take me somewhere between 3-4 years to reach Level 10... so maybe we'll meet in some Level 10+ giveaway in 2018? :D

I'm blacklisted? What's up with the (seemingly) random blacklist designation?

There's a reason, but I think a month is long enough. Un-blacklisted. ^^

For future reference, what did I do? I have a horrendous memory.

It might feel petty (and it probably is) but it's regarding games like Dear Esther not being games. It just struck a chord with me for a few reasons.

  1. As a programmer who have dabbled in game development, it's pretty disrespectful to the creators of the games who spent months, if not years working on the project.
  2. Games like that are good examples of games that can be considered art, and that line of thinking enforces the general thought that video games isn't a form of mainstream entertainment.
  3. On a personal level, some of my favorite games are games that can be considered walking simulators. For me, story is what makes games good, and I didn't like the way you were defending your viewpoint. Having an opinion is fine, but you they shouldn't be forced to other people who don't necessarily feel the same way.

Blah, didn't mean to write a piece like that right now. Haha

Oh, that, I see. Story matters to me too, my favorite genre is RPG, by far the most story driven genre. However, the story of that thing can be summed up into a few minutes worth of notes, I spent hours checking things that weren't remotely relevant to the story. And the other irritating thing was the deception, it made you think it was some interesting mistery game just to lure you in. If it was what it was advertised I would be ok with that, I wasted so much time looking for clues of a bigger plot just to realize that my prediction 20 minutes in was completely correct. Such a disappointment. But to each their own, personally I can't consider a borderline interactive youtube video a game. Did you enjoy their newish game? Even fans of Gone Home complained about the sloooowww movement :). I didn't play it, no reason to play something just complain about it, I'll live and let live.

PS. I just noticed you said Dear Esther not Gone Home but it's the same category, we probably mentioned it initially anyway. Have a nice day.

For what it's worth, Dear Esther wasn't for me as well. It wasn't just because of that. It was the general idea that such games aren't games, and how you were defending it.

Which are you talking about? Tacoma isn't due until 2016, Everybody's Gone to the Rapture is a PS4 exclusive, and no, I haven't played A Machine For Pigs yet. Haha

Rapture, that one, I've lost count of who made which walking simulator :). Tacoma is an actual scifi thing so for once I have hope this one doesn't have some hidden agenda and has a cool mystery story. I do hope it has gameplay though, floating simulator isn't much better than walking simulator :P.
