It takes awhile for the items to appear in your account.
If you watched long enough and the right stream you should still get the items.

Pre-recorded should be fine. Wargaming did that too, and IIRC the Arkane stream had pre-recorded moments, too.

Not sure if I'm doing something incorrectly, still haven't got the items. I've been keeping the livestream open for more than 60 mins on 2 different days and haven't seen any drops. Tried in both Edge and Opera GX, unmuted, go live, playing in an active window, but nothing. and my account is definitely unlimited.. maybe I missed the window?

Maybe try purging cookies and logging in again, and stream with all cookies authorized? The stream is somehow still running, not sure if they still have drops.

My friend also have nothing after 5+ hours. Somehow he managed to get in 5 minutes in the next day, same PC. He tried both client and browser. Another friend got after 2 hours. It is weird but I got them myself within 5 minutes, seems instant for me.

Apparently no one made a post for this yet, so here we go:
Like the last couple years, you can get Steam items by watching the Quakecon 2023 live stream (for something between 5 and 15 minutes; make sure you are logged in - works both in the client and on browser).

For people having issues: remember it's for unlimited accounts only. If your account is unlimited (spent $5USD) but market-restricted (didn't buy stuff in x time), it still works (a friend of mine is in this scenario and got the drops).
Steam stream drops are often buggy. Yes, pre-recorded is fine, as long as the stream itself is live (currently broadcasting). If it doesn't work after hours, try purging your cookies, logging in again, changing browsers, using the Steam client... Reload, etc.
