So, never never never, never will be on Steam, not?

Is there no possibility that in a future (near or far) appear on Steam?

What do you mean? Dead Space 2 was created before Origin and was on Steam before EA decided to hate Steam.

I never saw them took it off steam. Anyway. Just end the conversation, I don't feel like typing. lol

You already answered: NEVER!. EA wants his own market with Origin, so all his titles will only be available there and only there....
So your only hope is, EA to close Origin and come back to steam, but this wont be today.

It's unlikely and if they did at all it wouldn't be for at least a year or two.

If they do then I defiantly want them to send over the DLC for Mass Effect and Mass Effect 3. And I would like SimCity.

You're so defiant!

EA would only want people to use their digital gaming platform, so chances are, no.

It will never happen, because origin.

Saints Row 3 from THQ was the best in the series, but I can't think of many other 3rd games of a franchise which even came into existence, let alone were any good...

EDIT: Ok - thanks for jogging my memory guys. There are plenty of good IIIs :)

Idiotic generalisation - Templates like that are forbidden

Heroes of Might & Magic 3, Warcraft 3, Fatal Frame 3, Resident Evil 3 was decent, Disgaea 3, Warlord Battlecry 3, Shin Megami Tensei: Nocturne [definitely the third smt and the best], SMT: Persona 3 [well it's actually 4th persona], Serious Sam 3: BFE [well 3rd would be SS 2 and it's too different and needlessly "arcade-ish" for it's own good]

Should I continue?

Even if they release it on steam it will be only in a limited way, kind of how you still need origin for ME1, ME2 and DA2 DLCs, and even the ME "collection" in steam doesn't include ME3 or any dlc...

You aren't the first(nor will be the last) to opt for that choice instead of using origin.

I seriously doubt EA is making enough money from not paying valve a 20%(I think) to justify all the sales lost, I guess they do it only to try to gain more users for origin for some hypothetical future benefit.

I recall reading Valve's cut being closer to 30% (much like Apple's Appstore) but yeah, you have to wonder if this Origin business is worth it for them.

Permalink

Comment has been collapsed.

Maybe it's 30%, I might be confused.

Anyway, 30% of twice the sales still leaves them 20% behind in benefits. If they manage to get 43% more sales(over time) they break even, after that it's all benefit.

Even if they profit less not allowing rival company to profit might be worth it in a way, no?

If you do not like the company, or its practises, don't use/play their software.
I personally do not see the problem with Origin, and I know many people like to have all of their games in one place, but you cannot really use that excuse if you are gonna pirate games as well.

I like Visceral and I dislike EA business practices. I would love for there to be a way to circumvent paying the publisher and getting the game from the devs directly but alas, publisher lawyers cover their asses pretty good.

DS3 has microtransactions and the reason why EA and Valve had their disagreement was revenue sharing on them/DLC. It's not going to happen. Ever.
