Thanks! I've been categorizing games, but I have some doubts about games that are "unfinishable", per example Assetto Corsa, you can play it forever, no special history to beat. Or Switchcars, you play to beat your highscore only.

just put them wherever - unfinished if you've started playing them and plan on playing them again, or beaten or completed if you feel you've played them enough. You can make a list for these types of games, the list name then appears behind the game if you view it on other lists (e.g. all your unfinished games), like a tag.

oh yeah, there's no FAQ this month - scroll down a bit here. (in short: it's supposed to give some motivation/direction if you need it, but nothing happens if you participate or don't participate (sometimes some people get to be "player of the week" in the Steam group, but that's about it))

You'll always keep the level of access to the website you have now, regardless of activity. That's the main part of the entire group. The only thing with the Steam group is that you're not allowed to join group-exclusive giveaways if you haven't been visibly active on the site (posts, comments etc.) recently. And giveaways are really the only thing the Steam group is for now, everything else (chat, subscription to the announcement threads) is open to non-members (although no one uses the group chat, we have a Discord server for that - which also no one uses anymore ^^").
About multiplayer, it's pretty much the same as here - you find people who want to play with you. Mostly this happens via posts, I guess (someone mentioning wanting to do certain stuff in a game, someone else commenting they also haven't done that, or they're just helpful and will run through it again with you). We sometimes have Multiplayer "events" (well, we had one Rocket League thing), and plans for a Multiplayer-oriented theme month (for next year). And a rarely never used thread to collect who has which MP games and would like to play them, if you're looking for someone with a specific game ...
(don't know which of these things revil was referring to, but all I know is people sometimes get together to play stuff, it happens quite organically usually)

If joining the group is only about the chance to enter giveaways then I will pass on it since I can use everything just fine as it is. So thanks for the information.
I'm not sure which part revil was referring to but he brought it up in a thread where I asked for help (and found no one). So maybe I will find someone who can help me and I can help him with some annoying achievements.
Another question ^^: Do you or mandrill have some influence on how the Steam App Id is read? Because I have won Wasteland 2: Director's Cut here on Steamgifts (and completed it) but the website reads it as just Wasteland 2 (which I didn't play). They have both their own Steam forum, their own achievement pages and in the Steam Store there is only the page for the Director's Cut. Well, i got the normal version with the key as well which is probably the source of the problem but it still seems strange. Okay, it is bugging me that I completed my SG win and is not recognized as such -_-

I was referring to people posting about missing multiplayer achievements and others offering to help (I once asked if anyone wanted to help me with some L4D2 achievements and a lot of people offered - I never got around to do it, but still, the offer for help was there). And tso184 did have a great idea for a multiplayer theme that he will execute next year, so that might be something to look forward to as well

Yea, I have all three Wastelands on my profile since I got them all by one key I won here on Steamgifts. But I meant my "Won on Steamgifts" page. There is only the normal version and not the one I actually won (there i see only one).
I'll just take a look around if I find someone nice and helpful which is in equal "situation". Also for the moment I will refrain from posting on my profile. I tend to use Steamgifts as some kind of safegate. Therefore I prefer the contact here ^^ Also by the awesome amount of attraction that my review showcase is drawing I can assume that not many people frequent my Steam profile anyway.

Oh right, from my side, I can see that the Director Cut doesn't appear as won on SteamGifts by any member, so I don't know if that's because you're the only person who has won it and this is a problem exclusive to you or if this is also happening to someone else and they haven't noticed it. I'll pass it to mandrill, because it's out of my and nelly's reach. :)

Yeah, you could say the 3 of us are the founders of the group. :P I started the marathon that later turned into BLAEO, nelly created the Steam group and mandrill created the website.
mandrill's on it. They don't appear in your account because Steam uses the ID 240760 for the Director's Cut in the store (and it should be treated as a sub because it comes with 2 more games), while in the library that ID is used by the original edition.

Sorry to butt in, but I had the same problem with the Witcher trilogy I won on SG (only one was appearing in the "won on sg" category). Can your post in there ? If not, then try to contact Mandrill directly, he usually fix those packages stuff manually ;)

Actually, no. I can't post in the discussion section as it seems to be restricted to group members. But as I understood revilheart (I swear I have this inner urge to capitalize every name -_-) he will or already contacted Mandrill. So I will wait for now. It's not like I lose anything by the wrong game being there (other than my mind).

Yes sorry, the activity feed on the website. To post on it, basically you go to your own profile and click on the little envelope icon (the pen icon is just to edit your profile). When you make a new post, it will show up on the activity feed with everybody else posts, from the most recent down to older posts.
And by checking the activity feed you can also see the other members last posts and comment on them if you wish to interact.

And a hint: you could make a post with what's currently on your profile, so it's visible to everyone in the feed and people can reply to you there instead of contacting you on SG. :)

It might be partly my "fault". I enjoy the site so much I made it a requirement for a group I made... and it seems like that helped give BLAEO even more attention, besides for the ones applying for the group, others see the thread, become interested and decide on joining as well.

After some ground-breaking new website features implemented by mandrill, BLAEO is accepting member applications again! :D
But instead of being invited to the Steam group directly, you will be given access to our website after applying in this thread. Just set up your profile there and be active if you want to, and we'll eventually invite you to the Steam group. Right now the Steam group is mainly used for syncs with SG and group giveaways on here (and reminder announcements for various things), so you're not missing much if you don't get invited right away ;) And just to clarify, the website is basically the group, the Steam group is pretty much just a bonus ;)
Thanks to this new feature, we can now proudly announce that there are no requirements to join (not that we really had any before), simply let us know you're interested here :)
Once you're in the Steam group though, you're only allowed to enter group giveaways if you've been active (we won't post our requirements/definition of "active" so people can't abuse that information).
So, in conclusion, post here to gain full access to the BLAEO website and then add mandrill to your whitelist :P

The site starts compiling everything starting with your first login, so if you just used it for the first time, just wait a few hours. Same with new achievements and game additions, just give it some time.

How do I get into the Steam group?
We add everyone who applies in this thread to the users of our website, meaning after you login there with your Steam account for the first time, you can use it as a regular member.
Steam changed how groups manage new members and we can no longer invite people we aren't already friends with. So after you're added to the website and have been using it for a while, request an invite to the Steam group if you want to join. We'll review your request and accept it if you have indeed been active on the site (for at least 10 days, but depending on frequency and extent of activity, might be several weeks until you get an invite).
PLEASE DO NOT REQUEST TO JOIN THE GROUP WITHOUT HAVING BEEN ADDED TO THE WEBSITE! Request to be added to the website in this thread first!

What are the benefits of being in the Steam group?
You get to
post on the forums and* join giveaways that are shared with the group here on SG! But remember that we're not a giveaway group and there aren't many running giveaways at any given time, so you're really not missing much if you're not in the Steam group.*the forums are open to everyone now, no need to join the Steam group
Why did I get kicked from the Steam group?
There's really only one rule: Don't join group exclusive giveaways (i.e. not shared with any other groups or the whitelist) if you haven't been active on the site for a while. A "while" can be anything between 14 days and over a month, depending on your usual activity (e.g. members with huge monthly posts won't get kicked for joining a group exclusive GA 4 weeks after their last post, but someone with who usually posts short updates like "I finished this game, it was fine" every few days and hasn't posted in over 2 weeks might get the boot - this is examined on a case by case basis, any kinds of posts are fine, just be aware of this when you want to enter a group exclusive giveaway AND stay in the Steam group).

Yes! You can use it just like before, nothing changes for you in that regard.

No, but please let us know about it, especially if you don't want to get invited back into the Steam group, so we can make a note of it and don't spam you with invites when you're active on the site.
