What's the best Steam game to gift to someone as a prank?

Definitely Bad Rats, because it's so unbelievably BAD.

Some of those other games are quite enjoyable!

I'm gonna say Bad Rats because of all the sarcastic giveaways that come with it.

The Graveyard is a one-of-a-kind game. And it is good. I don't see why you'd even include it in this list.

Well, it's got a good metascore, but people still treat it as a joke game.

They do? I'd say the joke's on them.

IIRC, The only difference between the demo and the paid version is that in the paid version, the old woman can die. For me, that's reason enough to call gifting it to someone a prank

No Fortix?

I see other people are just as cruel as I am, Bad Rats is the gamer's equivalent to coal in many a stocking for the holidays.

What's wrong with Dinner Date? I heard it's short (and the price reflects that I suppose) but from what I've heard there's some interesting stuff going on that you wouldn't usually see in most other games.

It's like 10 minutes long.

So? The quality of a game is not measured in its length (or lack thereof), if you ask me.

And? Did you play Gravity Bone or Thirty Flights of Loving? They're short too, but they're VERY good.
Oh, and I REALLY want to play Dinner Date.

Ah, somebody mentioned Gravity Bone and Thirty Flights of Loving! I understand those two aren't necessarily to everyone's liking, but I enjoyed them immensely. It's actually amazing what can be done and portrayed in so little time, makes you think about all the filler in other games that are artificially padded left and right and boast of 100 hr+ playtimes, etc. Don't get me wrong, I'm all for getting your money's worth from a game and I have serious respect when developers go the extra mile to create and deliver all that content, but on the other hand, there's something to be said about efficiency and achieving something with limited means. It takes some serious talent to get it right.

So I've heard as well. I wouldn't mind it if someone gifted me Dinner Date.

Exactly, it's just not like other games most of people enjoy. It's different. So, for some people that's the reason to call it a bad game.

By the way, I've just downloaded and played it (yeah, yeah, I'm a pirate). Absolutely adorable. I'm impressed. Even though the game is linear and in fact, it isn't even a game - just an interactive movie where you can't change or influence anything. It's 15 minutes long, but it's full of emotions.
Plus you had to be in such situation as the main personnage to understand what he feels. I was... And I can't even describe what I feel now (or it's my english that doesn't let me do this properly :D ), I've nothing but mixed emotions.

To be fair, I quite enjoyed Cricket Revolution. Don't remember anything outrageously "bad" about the tile, although if you don't like cricket, I guess it's not going to supply your boat with a lot of buoyancy.

Bad Rats is inexcusably bad. Broken/random physics, unpalatable, sneering "humour" and uh.... did I mention the infuriating randomness of the physics?

The only reservation I have about giving this execrable title as a prank is that at least some of my money end up in the undeserving pockets of those responsible for its production.
