Isn't this against the rules?

Hmmm I thought I read the ToS thoroughly but didn't find that area... that is unfortunate

I'll try and shoot them a message, if they ask me to take it down I won't hesitate. Figured I'd try and cast as wide a net I could over the internet

Thank you for doing this event and even more thanks for all your work for the children of Da Nang.
I completely agree with the quote and I, too, hope people will get activated.
You should be perfectly ok rules-wise, in my view. The primary reason for this post is the train. :) You are not forcing anyone to click anything to ride the train and you don't personally profit in any way shape or form.
Good luck in Viet Nam!

Yeah, this post on the wrong side of the line. Basically, if clicking on a link results in a "DONATE" button, you're doing it wrong. Remove the link to the donation page and tell people they can find out more about the cause on your Steam page. (What you post off-site is not our responsibility.) I'm not going to suspend you, this time, but you should consider this an official warning.
Again, this kind of thing is supposed to be inside a giveaway description, not in the forum.

If this thread serves no other reason than to remind ourselves of our humanity then I hope we could all follow your example :)

Dear friends and fellow gamers,
Yes there is a tl;dr at the bottom and train link.
This year the Doctor of Physiotherapy program at Bond University have teamed up with the registered Australian charity GGC Vietnam to raise money for children with developmental disabilities in local communities within Da Nang, Vietnam.
My classmates and I are in the process of organizing several fundraising efforts to buy much needed therapy equipment and resources to assist these children and their families. Every resource that we are able to afford will be implemented and personally distributed by our team when we travel to Vietnam in November (out of pocket). We're very excited to have an opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of these children, many of whom have been orphaned due to disability, and have limited access to health, education and rehabilitation services in their own area.
Here is a video outlining our efforts,

At request of mods, I've moved the link to the mycause website that has information about our efforts to my steam profile page:

Tl;dr: My classmates and I are trying to help orphaned children with disabilities in Vietnam.
There are many worthwhile causes out there, If I've encouraged at least one person to take action I'd consider myself successful
