So This Scammer ( I Can Provide Name If Needed ) Said He Would Give Me $ 20 Steam Wallet Code For My Sr 3 The Full Package And Speedrunners . At First I Didn't Trust Him So I Ask Him For His Steamtrades Profile . And His Account Positive Was Over 120 ! I Was Like Ok I Think He Won't Scam Me So I Go Ahead And Send Him The 2 Gifts And He Just Go Offline Afterwards . Is There Any Ways I Can Get My Gifts Back ?

enhanced steam has saved my bacon on several occasions.

  • I am paranoid now so i always double check visually the account details... # of games/level/badges. Those things are difficult to impersonate. Takes a few extra seconds but it is worth it.

Play safe everyone.

By the looks of this thread, Scammers are out in full force this season, I'm noticing a new "series" of scammer bots popping up also.

The guy impersonated my SteamTrades profile, and op did not check where my ST profile links to. Now I get a negative rep because the guy also scammed others under my name. It seems that the impersonator is now impersonating another guy (you know where to look for the impersonator's profile link)

Typing like that certainly makes your chances of being scammed much higher.

Go to your inventory and click "More", then "View gift history"

There you will find the gifts you have sent. The real account that received that gift will be linked there. With that link you can check the real profile of the scammer, his SteamRep and ST rep (if exists).

Example, it will say: Sent to SCAMMER on 10 Dec
