I was on my way home earlier, going down a back road to my house when I saw an oncoming car that looked like it could have been a cop car. I was going about 10 mph over the speed limit, so I slowed down a bit. shortly after we passed each other, I saw something fly across the road, it was a deer (yes a flying deer). I put my foot on the brake and from experience (I hit a deer when I was 17 or so), I glanced in the direction it came from and sure enough there was another heading right for me! So I locked the brakes up, reaching my hand over to save the milkshakes I just bought from flying in the floorboard (again from experience...that is one mess you don't want...) Anyways, my car came to a stop, and I swear the deer stopped too for a split second, and looked me dead in the eyes standing just inches from my bumper, and then just finished crossing the road. I really want to get a dashcam for situations like this, do any of you have dashcams? recommendations?

Have you had any similar experiences? The deer I hit when I was 17 messed my hood up pretty good, but it ran off and was OK as far as I could tell. I was only doing about 25 mph (mph?? silly American here)

Oh yeah here is SGtools GA, $50 real CV sent and 1.0 ratio

To wreck my car
I will tell you why. I have a really good reason why. You won't believe me when I tell you. This is going to blow your mind. There is only one reason a deer would cross the road. Are you ready to hear what it is? I am going to tell you. Right after

We have places here where deer cross the road.

The most dangerous situations for cars are driving at night, in heavy rain or fog and in the bends of the road.

She's not the sharpest knife in the drawer. ^ ^

I hear that in the United States deer signs are used for target practice.

My closest deer encounter was while on a motorcycle. It was at dusk, and in a corner, I saw a movement from the trees in the peripheral vision. I straightened up the motorcycle and started breaking, to be on the safe side, and just moments later something flies over the front of my motorcycle. It was a deer, that must have jumped straight over my front wheel (I was still moving). A big wad of dirt came loose from the rear hooves during the jump and landed on my instrument cluster. It was very close.

Thanks for the giveaway too. Not entering, the game probably isn't for me, but still nice :)

The strange thing is I wasn't even shaky afterwards. Just did what suited the situation right then and afterwards just adjusted my line and took the corner without crossing over to the wrong side of the road, and continued my way home as planned.

I have decrease my tempo on the road a bit since my early 20's, and now do my racing on tracks instead, much smarter.

Do you have a license for motorcycles?

Nope, I thought about getting one though. My oldest brother, his wife and my mom and dad all ride motorcycles. I am sure I would like it. I dunno, guess I am scared something would happen eventually. Not sure if you saw my other comment, but my dad broke a rib going down from a deer jumping out in front of him and my mom almost ran him over since she was behind. I don't recall them having any other major accidents, but they did lose someone they were riding with a while back (another deer accident I think)
