Title being ''Mad Max = new Batman?'' and a comment like that, i couldnt resist.

Minus the graphics card copies and the season pass, that Arkham Knight had, it has been pretty much the same pattern. Not just at big retailers, but at key sites as well. Really low priced copies, everywhere. If you have to give something away low prices before it is even out, then it probably isn't great.
An argument that could be made against that is the lack of popularity for the Mad Max franchise, which was pretty ancient, until Fury Road came out. They might just be pushing cheap copies to try and get people to buy into it, without necessarily knowing a lot about it. Many people that will play the video game will have never seen any of the movies. Even Fury Road only did enough worldwide to maybe warrant a sequel, even with Tom Hardy signed on already. It might take off big time on disc and with streaming, but the franchise isn't well known enough to guarantee the success of a video game. They might be just trying to counter a projected low sales total and it may have nothing to do with the quality of the game.

WB GAMES...
but no, i don't think that it will be the same again.
after i saw some trailer and videos i don't think that this game will be very fascinating. a bit like carmageddon in mad max universe. i think this game don't neet so many bugs to flop

Wow insane discount for a game not even out, have you ever bought something from that site?

I brought a few things like Mortal Combat and Cities Skyline (this one not for myself) and had no problem until now, and you even have a small chance to get some decent random games (non bundled, worth more than 20$), but the majority are keys for bundled games.

I got that email and thought the exact same thing.
MGS coming out the same day could also be a factor?

I love the idea of a Mad Max game BUTTTTT I've been burned so many times in the past that I don't pre-order anything anymore. Even 40% off won't tempt me.
Instead, if it gets halfway decent reviews, I'll pick it up during a Steam sale or something. My backlog is beyond enormous as it is ...

I thin no matter the price or how good it is,that it will not be a good seller.
I mean it was suppose to be released along side the movie and never made that,i am not sure a Mad Max game can be good i mean the way some games are done these days,i think Mad Max needs to be like Twisted Metal,as that is the basis for Mad Max is car combat...
There are several games already out that have car combat that have not done so well so maybe this will be the difference, but i fear they will rely more on a silly story and graphics and leave much desired for the game play itself.
Either way this might be a good move if they think they made a really good game to sell it cheaper and maybe get more to buy it after release with good reviews and the usual hyper and so on.
Either way i will not be getting ..as i am not a huge fan of car games in general

Well I watched a stream of it today and it looks great, but it was played on the xbox I believe. I like WB games, but their problems with PC is whats stopping me from pre-ordering this. I know you can always refund but I'd buy a key for 27$, not from an authorized seller, so if refunds were issued for a shitty launch then they wouldn't offer them.
I think Shadow of Mordor is the only AAA WB game I can think of that didn't have any PC issues at launch? I think all Batman games had some sort of issue on PC, MKX too.

I just don't think it will be a good game. I doubt WB will release any more awful ports, especially after they just got done apologizing and talking about their new procedures for optimizing games. I'm just going to throw my money at Phantom Pain.

27$ for a brand new triple A game? Something smells fishy around here.
This game is cheap in many places..
I really wonder if this game is going to be a shit port.

I liked the look but I never pre-order. I go the opposite way. I wait until many have played it first,

If you sell your product for cheap, it means you don't trust your product.
If your game is good or you know people will buy it anyway (call of duty ?), you don't need that 40%

I think that the 33% was an aggressive way to sell due the "unauthorized keys" drama + not steam

yup, but neither can you be sure that here they didn't got 3rd party keys as well.
Like I say never preorder - you can never be sure that game will be any good before it's release and 1st reviews / feedback. But just the same you cannot assume that game will be shitty unplayable port before it's release and 1st reviews / feedback based solely on it being discounted pre release.
Want another example? Pillars of Eternity was 25% off on GMG long before it's premiere (it was 25% off in VIP section like 1-2 monrth before release). And what? It ended up being the best RPG I played in years :D:
Ofc I don't mean that Mad Max will be excellent, it's possible it will be unplayable, it's possible it will be GOTY - how can we know? - I'm just saying we should not judge game before it even got released based solely on the fact that key reseller known on pulling shady business with not-official key promos in the past discounted it heavily before release.

GTA5 was discounted too and it's awesome, but 25% is almost 1/2 of 40% xD !

also bioshock infinite had a significant price reduction (don't remember the exact numbers at GMG, but at Gamersgate it was 33% in blue coins, i think) and 3 free games on top of it. and it was a really good game! so no, price reduction during pre-order phase is not necessarily a sign for a bad game. :)

I didn't have good feeling from demo on E3. It felt a bit dull. Although I love post-apocalyptic genre, so there is still hope and they didn't show anything besides fighting and driving in demo anyway.
EDIT: Looks like demo from Gamescom is much better :3
EDIT 2: btw there is new 70 minutes long gameplay somewhere after 30 hours of game, probably some spoilers included, I'm not watching that one :D

If my country's dollar isn't so weak I might have been more tempted

20$ at CDkeys comes with DLC.
I will be very shocked if this game isn't a shit game/shit port.

I guess a lot of the "VIP" members of GMG got this mail with 40% off for pre-purchasing Mad Max. And it instantly reminded me of Batman: Arkham knight: same tactic a couple of weeks before launch. So what do you reckon? Is the same crappy "We know our game sucks, so let's get all the monies we can before anyone knows it's crap" tactic applied here? Or will it be a genuinely great deal? For me (and I wasn't really interested in this game anyway) it just screams: stay away from this game!!!
