"community"... hmm... I really wonder how much of this "community" you're talking about is using auto-thanks scripts or copy-pastes the same comment all over and over again in every giveaway...

I even could be sceptical of what I just said if not all the "please don't say thanks in the comments just name your favourite food instead" giveaways spammed with "thanks" comments...

You are right. If I had to choose between thousands of "thank you" under every giveaway which kill a database and useful things like replies I'd choose to be able to see that repeated text by thousands of people too.

I agree. There are many cynical people who think "thanks" are all spam, but there is nothing sadder than a giveaway with hundreds of entries and not a single work spoken by all the potential winners.

I like getting comments and/or thanks on my giveaway and I doubt I'm the only one.
