Well I do understand you, socializing is hard, especially for me and all across the university. Since I'm quite old (28) and long overdue I'm extremely ashamed by that and it's very hard to talk with someone else, often 8 years younger than you and maybe who has a better knowledge than you, or walk around and see your old colleagues already with a degree, it's embarrassing :p

Yeah, I feel you on the social awkwardness of school. And for my last degree, I was about a decade older than most of my students and it wasn't good. However, I was able to find someone who was a little older and maturer than the rest and we're still friends. I'll cross my fingers that something similar will happen for you. I also spent a lot of time hanging out with my teachers, as I usually had more in common with them then the other students - you could try that. Good luck with your studies!

Stop caring for other people think about you, because in reality they doesn't care~

The good thing is that I ended uni last year and won't have to try and socialize with those girls (which mostly talks only about makeup, husbands, children and so on, so stuff about which I don't care at all).

The bad thing is that I will have to go to work and face the same problems as I faced at uni - small talk about nothing with people I don't know and sometimes don't want to know, making projects with people who don't care about their work etc.

But I managed to graduate (despite my moderate depression and huge social anxiety), so I believe in you :D

(Also introducing anyone with sentence "Hi everyone, this is Mark, he's straight and has problems with sweating" isn't most comfortable way of doing so. So have a virtual hug (or high five if you don't like touching other people :D))

In college, I had a classmate who's 10 years older than us. We all loved him because he's funny and buddies with the teachers to the point where he sometimes persuades the professors to give us less homework. One professor would even forego lessons and we could have free time/games instead, mostly when we still have a ton of thesis work to do. I have no idea where I'm going with this story. Hahahaha

Well anyways, good luck with school! ^_^

When I went to school, we had to sit on stone benches because wood had not been invented yet.
Yeah, it was such a long time ago.

Anyway, I meant to say that when I went to school, I was accused of not being social enough outside school hours. That meant that I didn't like seeing my classmates after school enough.

When I categorically refused to go out on a trip with them for a vacation they asked my why, since I was so sociable, outgoing and nice during school.
And I said, "Well I have to see you 6 hours a day most days, can I not see you at least during my holidays?".
I still think that makes sense.

P.S.: Not entering, but thanks for the GA.

Well, I just started my 2nd Semester in a 5 year Pharmacy course. Though, I do miss sleeping in, I enjoy going to uni because I have great frienda there and despite the back-to-back mindnumbing classes, I still feel like going everyday.

I guess I'm not super nervous about starting college anymore. I got left home alone for a week and I realized how boring it is without having being to be anti-social with.
