This is actually a nice bundle - if you don't already own them.
I'm wondering if that's why people think it's so bad, or if they really think the games are that bad.

I think it's because lots of people already have at least a part of the bundle, since this is parts of old bundles.
It's the same as the rockstar bundle, it's a good bundle, but not for me, that already have every GTA game.
DBD for example, i have like 25 hours of it, and I'm still playing because it's fun, and I think people thinks on that way too.

I understand ... but is incorrect to say it is a bad of shit bundle because you have them or don't like the game FFS !
I have almost all Rockstar games and DS III from Monthly but don't call them shit ... but hey :)) !
Also ironically it is the best of 2017 , from the bundles of 2017 ... but they think the best of the games from 17 ... that logic :V !

I'm not sure every dev that bundled a game once is willing to do it again.
Just look at Terraria: Bundled once in 2014 (probably before it got hugely successful) never been bundled since because it simply sells too well.

IMO Goat Simulator would make Tier 1 more than worth it, if I didn't already have it and ALL the DLC on PC, PS3, PS4 and Android...other than that I only want Death Road to Canada...so yeah, I dunno if I'm gonna buy or not, I'm kinda too lazy to make gibs for the rest of them

daaamn i actually was looking to buy the cooking book bundle, but had no internet connection the last days - and this is the new bundle, after the pretty fine paradox gone? i'm a little disappointed, def. not the "best" of 2017 for me. but whatever, maybe someone else likes it, i pass this time.

How often does humble let you choose which charity to donate to?
I'm debating cause I literally don't want any of the games in this bundle even though I don't own them, but it's also the first time that I see charity options that I actually would be happy to donate to, so I'm considering maybe buying it just to donate (I can obviously just donate outside of humble, but if you can get free games for your donation then why not).

From what I've seen, in the majority of cases you can choose the charity of your choice, from their lists. There's always one featured and selected by default, but you can change it by scrolling down to where it says "Support Charity" then click on "select a new one". They have hundreds of charities in there.
But there are also bundles which have a specific charity featured, for example Humble Rockstar Bundle has Rainforest Alliance (imposed by Rockstar Games) or Humble Hope for Orphans Bundle where they locked the charity to a specific one, Change30.
