I don't mean to be that guy, but Johnny Cash only covered the song. It's actually a song by Nine Inch Nails. But I'm also surprised you made it through the entire song without anyone coming in from the side with a combo breaker!

Johnny gave it more Feels than Trent did though, which would be why a lot of people prefer his cover...that and NIN did it ages ago whilst Johnny's is much more recent AND NIN aren't exactly everyone's Cup O' Tea

Both versions of this song are great, personally I like the nine inch nails version more, but that might just be because I listened to the original version hundreds of times before Cash recorded his cover. When I first heard the Cash version without any introduction my ears immediately perked up because I recognized the music and then Cash's voice comes in and I was like WTF is this? (not in a bad way) But I definitely liked Cash's version, and it didn't hurt that a ton of people were secretly listening to a NIN song :)

Technically speaking it's by Trent Reznor. But Johnny Cash made it his own that it's basically attributed to him. And rightfully so. That cover is beautiful.

I'm aware of that. I am saying that Johnny Cash's cover is a very good song. (Technically, Cash changed some of the lyrics, so the song isn't an exact facsimile of Reznor's song.)

Me and Bain just did the entire Johnny Cash song "hurt" unbroken on another thread, and I told Bain I would give out my fourth copy of GTA V if we made it. and we did. Bain decides who gets an invite. GOOD LUCK!
