ASMR is more than just whispers. A huge trigger for me is SKSKSKSK sounds. When my boyfriend was here in person (long distance RIP), I'd be doing something on my laptop or something similar and he'd get me right when I least expected it. Otherwise, he gets me when we are in the middle of a skype call.

I was having a really bad insomnia for some time ago. Before using any medication i tried internet eventually found ASMR videos. They didn't make any difference for me so i didn't go into it much. But i listen time to time. Also i like to watch Bob Ross i guess this falls under the same catagory.

softlygaloshes is the one I tend to go with. Often it isn't for the ASMR effect itself, more just having a calming voice to listen to. It can make me feel like I'm less alone for a brief moment.

Nah, just the fans, mostly. The fact that most of the successful channels are from very pretty women doesn't help. Creeper dudes try to turn it into something that it's not.

Since 2012. People new to ASMR may think it's all about whispering since that's how most ASMR videos today are made, but it doesn't have to be. It's about the tingles :)
Binaural audio works the best, but it is not necessarily needed. Most people experience ASMR from close personal attention, but a lot of people that don't experience ASMR still watch the videos because they help them relax and fall asleep.

Just wanted to ask if anyone else likes to watch those ASMR videos to relax and enjoy whispering as much as I do. It's almost like porn to me, if not even better! If you haven't watched ASMR videos I strongly suggest you check them on Youtube, there are a lot of good ones that really trigger your senses.
