looks like Arc Dark
my suggestion is that you should try Numix Icon Theme for better icon consistency

Well, I use Linux, but not (yet) for gaming... OpenSuse, Ubuntu, Debian.

I don't like Linux ask desktop OS, way too many problems for my environment. My router/firewalls/servers are all Linux though, save one Windows box for SQL server :))

Linux only for years, the closest I get to Windows is running it in a VM for Idle Master

I use Linux Mint. I do some gaming (BL2, Shadowrun, Pillars of Eternity, few others). Steam Link works great too. Wish more games had Linux versions but will continue to show my support for game devs that remember the rest of us.

btw, in case anyone hasn't been following Linux news in a while; you should make sure your kernel is patched. is actually pretty easy (in Mint: Menu > Administration > Update Manger) and there was a major kernel vulnerability a few months back:

Hi MikhailZ, it looks like there is decent interest so I think it would make sense to "reboot" the invite request thread since that user hasn't been on SG in over a year and the LUE group seems to server the purpose. Let me know if you would prefer to run requests to join the LUE group through this thread and I'll close the discussion I just opened.

hello. thanks for new invite thread. i hope it will be useful

when i create GA for LUE group there is too low entries in my GA's because
1 LUE is group for linux exclusive users.
2 Not every LUE users have account on steamgifts.com.
3 And my GA's is usually cheap, i know

I want to add some linux users (may be with dual boot too) in my WL.
May be other liux users will do the same.

I have done the same thing. Any users that I have found that have played mostly linux available games in the prior month, I added them to my WL.

I've been using Fedora for a while, mainly to study some languages (C++, Python, etc).
But I would definitely use it as my main system if most of the games had support for Linux.

Thanks everybody for entering in this thread!
I think Linux is already good platform for gaming. All linux need is more users!
If you like linux please install it and play the games! If there will be more linux users - will be more linux games.

If you are already linux user please say something about Linux in your profile and enter to some Linux groups
for example LUE group https://www.steamgifts.com/discussion/SYC0H/gnulinux-giveaway-group-actively-monitored or http://steamcommunity.com/groups/OnlyBuyLinuxGames

I dont understand linux users that playing in windows only games and havent even a one linux group in his steam groups.

An interesting way to count Linux users MikhailZ:)
I use Ubuntu (or derivatives) for many years now and and I am very happy with my choice. I've never had major problems, and moreover is very easy to find information online.

Thank you (you are in my :)), I'm a Linux user, but often use Wine, so it is not right to be part of the group.
One of the reasons why I went to Linux is the freedom I have. And for me Wine is part of that - It gives me the opportunity to start thΠ΅ game (I mainly buy bundles, but when I buy from Steam the game must have Linux support) or application I want. Many people will say that I am wrong, and would probably be right, but that's me.

Edit: maybe in the future I will have to use Wine less and less - https://www.gamingonlinux.com/articles/over-1000-games-have-released-on-steam-this-year-with-linux-support.8704

My windows computer is used as a gaming console in my living room, and for that, it works very well. I'm typing this with my desktop computer, the one I use for everything but gaming (that's not totally true since I'm sometimes gaming on this one too), which is of course linux powered. Linux user since more than 15 years :)

valve do great works when making SteamOS and linux games/client. I think we have to support valve on this way and play in linux as much as possible. there is too few linux user. so we have less games and this forcing peoples to stay on windows. its the sad loop(.
