I've noticed this for a while now.

For example, Injustice Gods Among Us has been on my wishlist for ages but doesn't show up on my steamgifts wishlist page. I sync my steam account with SG all the time. What is the issue here?

There might not be a giveaway for it...?

You might not have the requirements to join then, e.g. level or the giveaway is restricted to group or whitelist.

This seems to happen to me a lot with "special" or "complete" editions of games on my wishlist. They get counted separately.

I think only the top 10 (or 20?) of your wishlist will be highlighted on steamgifts.
(is this even a steamgift feature or is it an enhanced steamgifts addon feature? can't recall^^)

This is kinda problematic as the steam wishlist is highly buggy and will either not let you change the order of your entries, not save it or randomly re-order it sometimes.

In any way there has to be some limits as you can imagine that it would cost a lot of resources for sg to do this for all the people with their hundreds of wishlist entries.

That's not true. I have over 100 show up in my feed.

Packs are different products, and Injustice is mostly sold/bought as the complete package now.

^^^ This. It's not possible to wishlist packs or collections, so they don't show up under the wishlist function.

And Steam is reporting them in such an ass-backwards way that many times I cannot even make an alert on them at IsThereAnyDeal; or if I can, it doesn't work most of the time, especially when other stores just use some totally different name for the packages.

Steam is behaving in a nonsensical manner? How can this be???

Heh, true. :)
I wish they had the balls years ago to restructure it, when they were only hosting a few thousand titles, because the old "this is actually just a fancy DRM" structure/architecture is getting less and less usable as a store…

btw it happens to me too...i've 100 in steam wishlist and no one in steamgift wishlist.

There is for example 1 mad max giveaway, i see it if i search in "all" and not see in wish...it's 3 days ca that happened

I've actually been having same issue.
I have 122 wishlist items and some seem to simply not show up.
Its really odd too because the one in particular was neither last alphabetically nor occupies end/beginning of wishlist for me. The URL is exactly same as well as title as on the wishlist, no its not an 'edition' or pack.
If it click through to Steam from the GA, it sends me to the page that says that this item is on my wishlist.
Steam account is synced yet it doesn't show up in the filter.

I'll almost guarantee it's a different package, like a Complete, Limited, etc that you can't add to your wishlist, but is the one people always buy. That happens with several games I want.
Likewise, there's games I OWN that do show up for the same reason cause it gets marked as game, and DLC, rather than both together as a complete edition.

Kinda wish SG had it's own wishlist feature to be able to add in those weird games that don't show up.. but alas..

Talos Principle. 6 days remaining. On my wishlist. Doesn't show up. Not a pack not an edition.

Good question. It only has one appID too, so not even a regional splitting thing.

My only thought is Steam API somehow mislabels Talos as a 'pack' even though there's only one game in it vs other games are marked as full stand-alones. But I don't have enough knowledge about Steam's API to check

Nah. It has an appID, so it is a product. Packs have subIDs. (You can see the difference in the URLs of the store pages for these things.)

It shows for me? I have 220-ish wishlist, Talos unranked somewhere. Weird.

Could be a bug. It doesn't show up for me because I own it.

Shows up perfectly fine for me, on my wishlist results. :X
Could try removing it from wishlist, syncing, readding it, and syncing again, see if that triggers something.

Talos DOES have a DLC though, so could you be confusing something there?

That was so weird. removing syncing and readding made it show up on the filters. Yay!
