After waiting for a month, my MSI GE60 is here! I can finally play my backlogged games and the games I've bought at the Summer Sale ($153 + $70 + $43). :D So far I'm liking this laptop. It's somewhat light, black-lit keyboard, and loads applications fast thanks to the SSD. The only two downsides for me are low battery life and Windows 8 but I can bear with it. ^_^

I know I made a couple of threads about PC Builds advice in the past like this one and damn. I've got to say sorry to those who took their time to help me. But I would like to thank those people for giving me more knowledge about PCs. :]

And lastly, damn these past months. My last day at my first job was yesterday. Started in March and during my 4 months there most of it sucked. Immature and angry co-workers, couple of rude customers, and the food alarms constantly ringing during lunch-hour. Told my manager I wanted to leave 3 weeks ago and yesterday was it. Those 3 weeks surprised me. Made tons of friends in which I never thought I'd get along with and overall the job became more enjoyable. I can't believe I'll miss that place. ;_; And August will be my last summer vacation because going to start my first semester at college in September and adulthood :o

But hey! Mini-Celebration!! Come on

Eins

Zwei

Deri

Cheating the game of Life!

Sorry the opening made me watch Mirai Nikki. Also a great English fandub to it!

Congrats! I recently got my desktop PC back from another country and could finally stop using my laptop, which hardly played anything.

Thanks for the giveaways, though I already bought 2/3 of those games on Steam Summer Sale, not interested in the 3rd.

Is it the 2OE model? If so, I'm getting the same in August once it hits the shelves here. :)

Yep! Just beware of its battery life. Less than 2 hours, but I'm okay with it for now.

Yeah I'm aware, but gaming laptops are not well-known for their battery life to be honest. What do you think about the gaming performance on the laptop so far?

Ah okay ^_^ I ordered it before I read other GE60 owners were complaining about it. I was contemplation on getting the Sager NP8250 for having a better video card (GTX 770 > GTX 765) and a little better battery life, but too late.

As for gaming performance haven't tried out yet. Will download Dishonored to see what happens but here is a benchmark video that I found helpful.

If you get a gaming laptop it's not really for gaming on the go. You can count yourself lucky if you manage to get two hours out of it at all. It's mostly to be able to game anywhere you want, as long as there's a plug :)

Have fun with it, seems like a nice spec :)

don't buy from xoticpc! I had a horrible experience with them and they tried to jack up the price on the quote by almost $200. purchase directly from the manufacturer! you'll save lots of money and get it sooner. xoticpc is a middleman that basically just orders your specs from the manufacturer, puts their sticker on the box, and mails it to you.

ps... don't ever expect good battery life from gaming laptops. they're beasts and eat batteries like the cookie monster.

Well it arrived Friday afternoon, and I have no real problems with xotic. You may be right about jacking up the price on customization parts but oh well. I only paid $213 more dollars for the SSD and a better internet card totaling to $1413. Of course you don't have to customize, but I had the money. :]
