I actually meant Simple Rockets 2 as I already played Convoy, in fact I beat it for the June PAGYWOSG for some reason it didn't unlock any achievements, so I guess it looks like I just idled the game or something? I suspect it is a problem in the linux version as I had the same problem with Ballpoint Universe before, maybe one day I should try the same thing I did with Ballpoint Universe before and try the windows version on Proton...

Does "games released before 2017" meant for the ones released on steam or not?
I'm playing zwei: the arges adventure atm and it was released in 2001 despite steam saying that it is released in 2018.

Time for an update!
Completed Tacoma! Good game, I wish they said more about characters and the world, most of it is buried into notes and details.
Also finished Black Mirror! I lost my internet so it shows I played 2 hours ^^" Took me around 20 hours actually. I like it! I dig its Gothic atmosphere and dark story, but I found the ending a bit underwhelming, I expected something bigger. Still a good game! I should play the sequels one day.

Finally beat the campaign in Sanctum 2. I initially bounced off the game and nearly abandoned it, but I gave it another go after reading some tips and trying a different character. Ended up enjoying it quite a bit once things started to click.
I have removed my entry for Earthworm Jim. The Steam version is an absolutely miserable port and I'm not willing to suffer through any more of it for this event. I've replaced it with the "400 Days" DLC for Walking Dead that I've won recently.

I'll be playing PC Building Simulator, I won it from a user registered before 2017 (giveaway link). It only has an endless career mode so I'll be aiming for 25% achievements or the HLTB time (24 achievements or 27 hours).
The entry I've made on the event website says the game has 74 achievements, but it says 94 in my Steam library. I don't know what's up with that. I guess they've added more achievements since the game was last updated on the site? I was also wondering how this works with DLC achievements, since I only have the base game and several achievements are unonbtainable for me.

I picked This War of Mine, which I'd put off playing far too long. I'm a little put out that the giveaway I was most interested in ended before I beat it, but I'm really glad I played it either way because it was fantastic. A really awesome combination of just enough story, addictive resource management and being open-ended enough to support multiple playstyles.
Funnily enough, on my first playthrough I went against my usual inclination and tried to be a cautious jerk who refuses to help others and is willing to steal, and it ended really badly. The second time around I tried doing a fully charitable pacifist run and ended up well enough off to always help neighbours that came knocking on the door in need and donate bandages semi-frequently to the hospital, which was nice.

I'd like to participate with a game that isn't an official win but was still gifted on SteamGifts in a discussion thread. The game is Timelie and the thread is this one.
The reason for it is because I haven't had any recent wins and the couple of wins I haven't played yet are too big to want to play them for the event because it would be rushed and I wouldn't enjoy them as much.

Games with very long intro/outro or even riddled with lot of cutscenes,
I'd add a minimum length for a single cutscene / all cutscenes together, if we're thinking about the same type of cutscenes. (Storytelling, and not takedown/attack animation cutscenes)
"Very long" is not objective enough to be checked, but cutscenes or "movies" of all cutscenes can be found on youtube and used as reference. Though just checked Shadow of Mordor, youtube has both 1h 34m and 2h 30m long "movies".
VNs are the masters of making a 1 minute scene into 5 minutes with all kinds of nonsense, *grumble grumble*

So, I was browsing to find a game to play this month and in the list of Games which were played in the first PAGYWOSG event I've seen Armello. Feels like a good choice but I'm unsure. AFAIK it's a "board game" without like an overarching campaign or the story mode so my question here is:
How is Armello beaten? Is like one won game considered as beating it? Or am I completly wrong and there is some story mode that can conclusively beaten? If so, how? I didn't see an achievement that would mark it

One of the games from the first event is Fallout 4 and the players seem to have had focused on the base game only back then. I'm curious if playing the DLCs would still count for the sake of the event even though technically those weren't being played in the first event, but then again DLCs are put under the main game's name in the event page. What do y'all think, is it too big of a sidestep?
Pardon me for splitting hairs, I'm just fishing for any excuse to waste more time in Fallout 4 even though I have other games to play that will fit without "cheating" the system. :D

This made me realize how "late" am I with my backlog, holy moly.
Like Alan Wake is 9 years old, ENSLAVED: Odyssey to the West is 8, and these are games were mindblowing, that they run on my laptop properly. (And let's not mention that I could likely list a few dozens of games that are ~20+ years old and still want to play them)

You don't need to beat all the games you have chosen and you can add any more you want. Just take things at your own pace and add them to future events if you fail to get them now
Beaten means seen the ending. You didn't ask but completed means like you saw 100% of the games like all the achievements while beaten is just finished the story. For games without achievements or no end of story one please provide a screenshot of you beating it or it cant be counted. If it has no story then its based on getting like 25% of achievements or the average main time on howlongtobeat, which ever comes 1st
Again just add whatever you want, as long as you won it and it fits the theme. Once you beat all your wins you can then add on ftp and your backlog, I would check with the mods to make sure.
Also again you can update the list but if you are gonna have samwise or ninglor add it to the website for you make sure to do like a reply for if you added anything more as editing will get you looked over.
Finally the next step when you beat the games are to change your stats. However you won't have access to the invite only giveaway unless you go to the site and do all that yourself. If you are worried or anything about the site then there's no need to be. Like sg you simply just log on without needing your password so it cant be taken. Or worried about messing things up, no need everyone is kind here and alot like me have been here for years.

I've added the games for you this time since you are new. For the future please log in to the website and do it yourself, since you need to log in to change your game status (beaten/completed) and see the GA's in case you beat a game anyways. The entry in the FAQ is sadly out of date on this case (need to update the FAQ, but haven't had time yet).
Logging into the website is done via your steam account. If you do not want to type in your password on the event page you can always log into steam in your browser using the official steam page . Then you should only be asked to confirm your login on the event page.
As Cece already pointed out, you do not have to finish all entries and you can even add more games. It's all up to you.
Beating a game usually means reaching the end of the game, this can be beating the final boss, finishing the final chapter/act, reaching the end credits, etc. It depends highly on the game. Most games have a specific ending achievement.
As cece pointed out if the game has no achivements we need some proof that you have finished the game. This can be a screenshot of the final credits or the ending scences etc.
As long as you have unplayed wins that fit the current theme you will have to add those. Once you have played all your wins you can feel free to add normal backlog games (until of course you win another game that fits the current theme).
You can update your list here of course and a lot of people do this to keep track of their entries. But if you want to add more games please do it yourself on the event page. It is fairly quick and easy to do ;)
Once you have beaten a game, just change the entry to beaten (or completed if it was) on the website. You do not have to update achievements or the time you took to beat the game since we do that usually once a day via an algorithm.
Once the beaten/completed status was checked and approved by either Ninglor or me you will see the invite only giveaways on the event page.

I finally beat Gunmetal Arcardia Zero. I died a lot more than I'd like to on that final chapter from instant deaths. The final boss is easy if you pay attention to the fact you can go to the left before facing the boss. There's a shop and it has a bombable wall with a full heal heart and a treasure chest on the other side.
The last two achievements I don't have yet are for speedruns, and the final one is for under 30 minutes. I'm not going to complete this one (especially no time soon)..

FAQ
Who can participate
Anyone who does not have any unactivated wins, multiple wins or a VAC ban. You can participate even if you don't have any SteamGifts wins, see the "Have already completed all your wins?" below as it applies to this scenario too.
Extra Rules:
If it gives you one bundle of games with one steam ID then it depends. Do they each have achievements of their own (including an ending achievement)? Then go ahead and play them separately. Though make a note in the notes section, so we know what to look for. Non achievement games or games that play continuously (e.g. all entries play through without an ending between them) are not allowed atm since we do not have a good way to track them separately.
