Mountain
From that list, Ori is definitely the one to go with. Truly amazing game.

I'm not sure how easy the Definitive edition is, but I played the original one (and I agree that it's totally awesome) , but I'm not sure if this is the right kind of game for a new "gamer". If you haven't played any Jump & Runs before or anything it can be really frustrating at some points.
If you want to get her into gaming you should probably start with something easier :D

.....
Do I have a girlfriend?

Depends what your girlfriends like, there are a ton of coop games that are great, i was just playing gauntlet with a friend and we had a blast

I think so, because it doesn't tell you what to do and you have to find it out yourself. Which is fine, buut I think it could be confusing for someone new to games.
I didn't have much trouble with it in the beginning, or atleast I don't remember but I have spent a lot of time researching it, haha. But I saw a lot of people being very confused, so I'd say it's risky game to give someone as like "first game".

Just saw your response here after I left my comment. It makes sense for you to think about it like newcomer to gaming, there's tons of better titles to start with but it depends a lot on the person. If she starts and finds crafting / survival interesting, she might get addicted to it and want to find out & research things. If there's little to no interest, it won't happen and most likely not in the future too :)

Yes, exactly. I was thinking, that if I was her and I didn't like it and it was my first game, maybe I would leave gaming alone. Atleast for a little bit of time. But then again, she doesn't sound like she would do this if she had a great time playing coop.

I'm so sorry! I didn't mean to insult you, or anyone else.
I haven't thought about the sentence a lot, so it didn't occur to me it could be taken badly. And, as a girl, I totally didn't to sound like I did. Well, this is why you should re-read what you wrote and think about it for a second. Or two, especially if it's not your native language.
Sorry again!
Should have said it earlier, but you know, thinking about it. :'D

Bwhahah! that's awesome. Palmela Anderson and Handgelina Jolie!

She might actually just like or love to watch you do something you like rather than liking gaming itself. Mind=blown

,,,which is still, yknow, an activity shared with you :P
I've known plenty of gamers that only enjoyed games when they were played with others [and while I'm a pretty hardcore gamer overall, I definitely have a co-op preference myself].
Still, certainly no harm it getting her to try new things :D

In this case I can give you a list of games with co-op to try (might be a bit long):
Blades of Time
Borderlands 2 and The Pre-Sequel
Dragon Ball Xenoverse
The First Templar
How to Survive 1 and 2
The Incredible Adventures of Van Helsing games
Killing Floor 1 and 2
The Lord of the Rings: War in the North
Orcs Must Die! games
R.I.P.D. The Game (this one has quite negative reviews since it's just a plain generic 3rd person shooter)
Resident Evil 5 and 6 and Revelations 1 and 2
Saints Row 3 and 4
Sanctum 2
Scourge: Outbreak
Sniper Elite 3 (I've never personally tried the co-op so I don't know how good it is)
Torchlight 2
Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 and 3, Call of Duty World at War (I think only these 3 CoDs have an actually interesting co-op with only World at War having campain co-op)
Deadfall Adventures
F.E.A.R. 3 (I've never tried it)
White Noise Online (kind of bad but still could be enjoyable)
Serious Sam games
Sven Co-op
Dying Light
Dead Space 3 (I heard it had co-op)
Zombie Army Trilogy
Left 4 Dead 1 or 2
ARK Survival Evolved
Gang Beasts
Victor Vran
Hunted: The Demon's Forge
Hope any of this will be useful to you or maybe others looking for co-op games.

Yep, I've played Torchlight with my bf (we love hack&slash) so we also tried Van Helsing and he really wants to try Orcs Must Die, I don't mind, it's fun game afterall. Here are also few games that I've played by myself so I didn't want to play it just with my boyfriend so now we're playing Divinity Original Sin and maybe Grim Dawn next? If we get bored of either of games probably play for a season in Diablo III, then some other game then Diablo...

Guess it depends how you define gaming. She very stereotypically plays mostly candy crush and the likes on her phone. On the odd occation I can get her to play simple racing games like Asphalt. I bought two copies of TESO for us to play together but she only spent about half an hour in that game because it was to complicated to just move around.

My girlfriend would probably not play any games from your list, excepted maybe Ori. She likes story driven games and survival horror. The Last of Us and Telltale The Walking Dead are her all-time favorites, she also likes the Silent Hill series and Bioshock. To relax, she really likes zombie hack-and-slash such as Dead Island. But she's a huge horror movies freak.

I would also recommend Portal 2. Not super easy (but that has nothing to do with gaming, more with puzzling), but a lot of fun in co-op and great humor!

Botanicula.
Never alone.
The Tiny Bang Story.
The Sims.
I've tried to play these games with my gf but she said that she gets too impatient playing games. She only liked The Sims.

i once had a gf, who at first was not into games,,, but when i showed her games to play, she fell in love with them, and the time spend together grew shorter every week.....,,, and before long,, she started dating a guy she never met before while playing wow...., ditching me for not enjoying the games she'd enjoyed....

Don't Starve Together, Tabletop Simulator, Broforce, a bunch of SEGA Genesis & Mega Drive Classics (Example: Streets of rage series, golden axe series)

broforce and the sega games can still be playable offline and also don't starve together usually requires you to own the original don't starve game which is single player only.

I was mainly talking about the first 3 games, DST does not require you to own Don't Starve but it can be really helpful depending on with who you are playing... So yes, I'd recommend him/her to get Don't Starve or if they want to experience it together to just get the multiplayer version.. I didn't know Broforce is also solo offline, always thought it was a total multiplayer game. Just as Tabletop Sim :D
Also I don't have much interest in SEGA Classics except Sonic franchise and those dolphin games but then again it's all about someones taste. I know there's other girls that love LoL and I have no interest at all in it for example.

tabletop sim has single player but theres nothing much to do in there. its heavily implied you got someone to play with you localy.

Wait, Tabletop has multiplayer!? I guess that means I've been doing it wrong, but at least the way I play I always win!
But I also always lose... ;P

Play Telltale games together. They don't have much interaction anyway so it's like watching a movie together :D

My girlfriend has recently stuck her feet into the pool of gaming so to speak, and is splashing around a bit. She started off by watching me play Witcher 3 and was really into that but when I offered to let her play for a bit (to walk around Novigrad and talk to people for example) she declined and said she liked to watch me play it more.
I did some research for local co-op games we could both play together and game across Lovers in a Dangerous Spacetime, Lara Croft and the Guardian of Light, Trine 1 and 2 etc she very much enjoyed those
But now I would like suggestions for good offline singleplayer games for her to play on her own on her laptop. Games that have a good singleplayer experience, and ones that aren't hard or confusing for players new to video games. Also preferably ones that aren't dark/scary/bloody
So far I've come across as likely candidates
Terraria
Stardew Valley
Slime Rancher
Rayman Legends
Oceanhorn Monster of Uncharted Seas
Ori and the Blind Forest Definitive Edition
Crashlands
Thoughts?
