So true. And try to limit your objectives and don't go out of them. And don't buy games only because the have an achievement that gives coal...

No, fuck you :D If they do it again, I'm gonna buy games I probably wouldn't usually buy only for the objective achievement, I had so much fun with that :D

I thought this would be lame comic attempt at Steam Sale. But it's actually very useful for people who didn't encounter a Steam sale before :3

This guide is great....in theory. When you when you get to the Steam's main page your common sense just jump through the window and leave you alone with all those sweet offers in front of you.
I think the best way is to put some money in your Steam wallet, and never ever exceed that budget. It makes you think what you really wanna buy and not just buy every single appealing game you see.
PS: I loled with the last point. I hope they implement it some day, although it will drive into bankruptcy.

I bought mostly games on my wishlist, or uber cheap offers. All bought with TF2 keys, no real moneys. Did really good deals, and while I could get more, I'll wait for christmas.
Though I spent moneys on Amazon, but recieved that 5 USD coupon.

the real trick: spend $10 on the amazon bundles when they come out as they give you about $120 worth of games for specific developers... so far: square enix bundle and THQ bundle which equate to paying $20 for a 94% off on each

I'd also add that people should remember the Christmas sale is coming up. Don't settle for the "base" sale price at the end of this sale if that game you've been eyeing doesn't go on a daily deal or flash sale - just save your money until the Christmas sale in a month.

Anything at 75% discount probably won´t receive a bigger deal, so if you want it grab it. The deal will only improve if the game receives one of those permanent price cuts.
If the game isn´t on the front page, WAIT. There is a chance until the last day that the discount will improve.
Games on the Flash sales might appear on a daily and the reverse is also possible, but don´t count on that.
Think before you buy, those 5 games for 2$ each might not be a better deal than getting that sweet discounted game for 10$.
Don´t go over your budget, it hurts in the long run i_i
Do not throw you wallet at the monitor, this payment method is still in alpha and might not work properly.
UPDATE: seems the indie page contents are also changing, can someone confirm this?
