Is Duke Nukem Forever worth getting?

Yeah, it's definitely worth it. I don't care what anyone says. The gameplay is solid, there are few if not no bugs at all, Duke's humor is still there, and the challenge is rewarding.

For $5 or less it's worth it. It's really no gem, but it's a fun game, specially after the patch that allows more than 2 guns at once.
The biggest problem is that the game was at least 5 years too late gameplay and graphic-wise, and the hype surrounding it choked it.

It's not the worst game out there, but it definitely didn't live up to expectations.

The game is pretty lousy at first (for a few missions) but it gets better as it goes on and ends up as a really solid game. I've been having a blast with it anyway. I've been a long-time fan of the Duke.

While $5 isn't a lot, DNF is still a really bad game. No amount of discounts and sales will change that.

It's fun. It's Duke Nukem. It's Corny. Again, it's Duke Nukem. It doesn't live up to the glory of the originals but it's certainly fun! Pick it up for 5 bucks! It's better than a majority of the games that will end up on sale for five bucks.

Duke Nukem Forever is a great game. It starts out slow and boring.. but it gets better. It has too much platforming in it though, which absolutely sucks in a first-person view.

Why do people hate this game? I never played the original duke nukem games, but its a good game on its own...

I got it for about $1.50. What a waste. Played it for a few hours with hopes of it getting better. And it only got worse.

DNF is awesome!

I have it on PS3 and now also on PC. It's pretty fun, in an old school kind of way. And it's so cheap that it doesn't even really matter if you don't like it.

I will definitely buy it, but I wait for Steam sale to see where it'll be cheaper.

I can buy it now for 3,70$ on GMG or for 8$ on Amazon with 2 DLCs. The first promotion expires AFAIK 18 July and the second one in the end of July, so we have still time!
