clicky

MacHeist has a new bundle up. It's kinda pricey at $29, but in addition to mac apps you get 4 Steam activatable games. So it would work out to $7.25 a piece, if you only valued the Steam games (which isn't all that bad actually). I spent too much recently, but thought someone might like the deal. :D

list:

  • Strong Bad’s Cool Game for Attractive People (5 episodes)
  • Sam & Max Devil's Playhouse (5 Episodes)
  • Bejeweled 3
  • Jurassic Park

Normally between $20-$35 dollars each

25% of proceeds go to charity! :)

Nice for Mac owners.

Mediocre value for the rest of us.

Only worth it if you really, really, really want those apps. The games, Im pretty sure you can pick up all those at the winter sales for 15$ or less.

Not bad, but too pricey IMO. I'd buy it for $10...maybe.

Yeah, get rid of the Mac apps and that bundle will already be worth more... and could sell for cheaper.

Mmmm... No. Doesn't seem worth it, especially since, on a Steam sale, the total of those four games would be lower. Probably.

Some pretty darn nice apps. I might just have to buy this for my future iMac.

The pack would be interesting if it wasn't for Macs only. You know we only want the games and we are paying apps we can't use too.

Completly agree with you, wonder if we would be allowed to gift the Mac apps seeing we wont be able to use them

as a mac user i'd say it's a bit expensive and i don't feel it as a super compliation of sw, i's say that just disktools pro and bioshock 2 are really worth.

the idea of a mac only bundle is really nice, since most bundles really use to forget mac users (the reasons are pretty known and i won't mention them here). anyway, i'd underscore that all HIBs use to support mac for almost all their sw (just some demos are win only), so the mac user can find good games somewhere else for cheaper.

edit: at least up to my knowledge bioshock 2 is not steamplay so this one must be only a digital download from the mac app store. be warned if you are a pc user and think about buying this to get that game on steam.

edit2: this is the first time i see a bundle giving apps from the mac app store; no idea how they do it, they must be supplying some kind of code. this looks pretty interesting to me since it could mean that some bundle could appear also with stuff from the itunes store, which means music and ios apps to me 8-D
