Deadly Premonition Director's Cut - Yay Or Nay?

The game crashes alot on PC, like every 2 hours and you might need to download a patch to even get it to play.
If you're interested in the game and are fine with the problems then you might aswell get it.

Unplayable and developer abandoned it on PC after release

It's unique and has a very interesting story, however it has a lot bugs and crashes. I would not recommend getting this game full price, but any other price is totally worth it.

Whether you decide to get it or not, I would suggest watching the VJ Deadly Premonition endurance run on Giant Bomb, it's probably the best way to enjoy this game and to celebrate it's wackiness. As for the game's performance on steam, I had a ton of stuttering and low frame rate in general on my end, so I can't recommend it to anyone.

Basically there are two kinds of people. People who are bi+ching about techical things (graphics, unoptimizing, etc.), and there are people who doesn't give a f*ck about these things, as long as the game is playable, and the gameplay is good. I really don't care about graphics. I had an E 6600 proc. 9400 GT vga, 2 GB DDR 2 RAM. The game ran well, except the cutscenes. The only thing, which was a pain in the ass, the QTE-s. You have to react in like 1-2 seconds. Other than that, it's a really cool detective-horror game. I got it from IG Bundle, but 2-3 eur is fine too. I suggest you to buy it, if you don't care about technical things, only gameplay.

At first i was like yay but after the first intro zone i kinda let it rot... It doesnt keep up with what i expected :/

I got it on a bundle but never managed to make it playable, the game went into black screen everytime I started it.

Excelent game with interesting characters. To the end it get a bit worse and I didnt like "final level" (well all fighting sequence was kinda crappy). But I really liked time spend in that game.

If you like Twin Peaks and especially if you can live with Japanese-PS2-era-game levels of design faults, lack of polish and general wonkiness, then it's strongly recommended! :)

It is one of the greatest games ever, love child of David Lynch and Daniil Kharms. If you are lucky to run the game properly (although you might still get occasional crashes) you are in for quite an experience. Oh and lousy controls but you'll get used to them eventually.

It's pretty cool and I need to continues playing it, it crashes from time to time, so safe often + it had some issues in the beginning but there are lots of easy fixes, but most people are either too stupid or too lazy to use them and say it's unplayable.
