Can't enter Fallout: New Vegas DLC giveaway

Title says it all... but I have the base game. What to do?

Someone mentioned that Fallout Newvegas has a different localization for Russian users. Not sure if that's true or the problem.

edit. also might need to re-sync your games on the site.

That's what I mean by russian users/localization.

Since the sync is set up to detect the base game, if the base game has mutliple localizations on steam I don't believe it's set to recognize that. It would have to be done manually. Unsure if the miss-match in localizations would have any compatibility issues.

You are in a global subset of regions where the Russian Localization is your standardized version of the game, I'm assuming.

so if I'm from Poland and I bought game today then that means that I will have to play in Russian language? Sorry, I dont understand it much. On my licenses page it's "New Vegas (RU)". WTF...

that means your version of a game has a different license than the ROW, it may be incompatible with the ROW DLC packs.
CG might be able to fix that, why don't you try mailing him at inbox@steamgifts.com

You're from Poland so it might well be that your version is the same as the Russian one.

this is first time I'm seeing this on Steam :P I always had the same version as everybody else, but once I had "ROW" one (rest of the world).

I have a Russian version of the base game, but there is no Russian version of DLCs for this game. There is only one version of DLC which is valid for any version of base game. So I would really like to enter that giveaway ^_^ but i have no chance, because steamgifts thinks, there is some difference..:(

from your steam library, click on your account (top right corner). there you can see your subscriptions and licenses. the regional tags are included there, even though you don't see them in the library

They are two versions of Fallout NV: one for Poland, Russia and other countries in Europe (but not for all European countries) and second for rest of the world. This DLC working only with second version, Fallout NV for Poland don't have working DLCs yet :( Sad but true.

no, my friend (also from Poland) bought New Vegas yesterday with all DLC's and they're working properly :)

It's fixed. Resync and the game should now appear in your library, and you'll be able to enter.

I've tried doing a Resync and I have no joy here. I tried to join various different giveaways and the button does not activate the giveaway. It stays green. I don't see a message anywhere saying I don't have the "base game" or whatever. So something else is going on.
