The hint to the ITH puzzle is live. I think it will be helpful, if you've already been able to work out the first part of the puzzle.

I think the puzzle is pretty strongly hinted at this point. If you were stuck before the hint dropped, maybe take another look? Behind the solution lie:

Bumping with an alternate puzzle to get to the reward train. Just over 24 hours left, but I know you can do it!

I'm a pretty basic ice cream guy, I'm easy to please, just give me some vanilla/hazelnut/woodruff etc. and I'm good. I never dabbled that much with making ice cream myself, but adding a tiny little bit of scotch or vodka or whatever you prefer slows down the freezing process and lets it stay a bit extra-creamy for a longer time. That's all I know about making ice cream xD.

Looks great! I can almost taste the mint ice cream now.

Looks like it's not covered in fondant? So, it may be edible. That's some skill there.

I'm fairly sure it is edible.
Only not sure which show or so it is from (like cake off or cake boss and many others out there, that make amazing edible art cakes, cupcakes etc) or how to make that.
But yeah that is indeed some skills (I'm jealous of) and I bet it tastes very yummy too!
I would not say no to a piece xD

Oh, I'm sure it's edible, I was taking a dig at fondant, which is disgusting.

Happy early cakeday, fellow ice cream enthusiast!
The best kind of ice cream I've tried was in Istanbul, Turkey - Pineapple and Kiwi / Chocolate mix.
Italian gelato comes in deserved second, but the traditional dondurma is my #1.
I'm so glad that the vendor didn't #uck with me :D

Those videos are funny, but I would probably not be amused if they did it to me!

Happy early cakeday!
Not a fan of fancy icecream flavours. A simple lemon ice that tastes fruity is all I need (but I never made any myself...so no recipe for you sadly)

Simple is fine too! I think vanilla has gotten a bad reputation as "plain", when it's really a wonderful flavor on its own merits. I'm just looking for more ideas is all. Thanks for the cakeday wish.

Vanilla ice cream topped with Sriracha + honey + pineapple. Have a Happy Cake Day!

I find the texture gets icy with fruits, so I use concentrated strawberry daiquiri mix (basically concentrated puree and preservatives) for my ice cream. That reduces the water content. I suppose I could boost the milkfat (less milk, more cream) and use fresh fruit, but any chunks still turn icy.

i tend to roast fresh fruit to use them in ice cream. Especially strawberry or pineapple and other high water content fruits. Not only does it help get rid of some of the water and avoids the crystallization issue but it gives great flavor to the finished ice cream. The daiquiri mix is a great idea though.
Have a a happy almost-cake day

Tomorrow is my first active cakeday. (But I anticipate a busy day tomorrow. So, I'm doing the post today.) Tomorrow, two years ago, I discovered the site and made an account, but after seeing a lot of rough with very few diamonds (and very low odds of winning), I left and forgot about it. Over a year later, I saw it mentioned again, and came to give away some old Steam inventory items and Humble Bundle keys I wasn't interested in. I learned to hide games I don't want, and to use the wishlist feature, and I actually saw games I wanted! So, I stuck around, but the exact cakeday isn't at all special to me.
Also, cake is great. No lies. But I enjoy ice cream more. So much so that I have "invested" in a nice (consumer) ice cream maker, and I make stuff at home for a hobby. I have the Ben and Jerry's and Ciao Bella recipe books. The Ben and Jerry's book has lots of traditional flavors, but I really like the less common flavors from Ciao Bella.
So, instead of cake pictures, please post pictures or recipes of ice cream, gelato, Italian ice/sorbetto, or granitas. Less common flavors are preferred, as long as you can recommend them or would try them yourself. Give me ideas for new flavors and flavor pairings. That's the good stuff.
I'll start off with an ice cream cake, and a couple of my favorite flavors.
Edit:
New puzzle added to get to the reward train. Numbers instead of words, so it should be easier for non-native English speakers. Same rewards, solving either puzzle is sufficient. You have until 1500 GMT (if I did the time conversion correctly) on the 7th, plus two more days for the DLCs in there.
Solutions
Images are added to the post.
Pairings: For me (in the US), all of the pairings appeared in Google's 10 suggestions when I typed in "item1 and" in the search field. Understandably, this could vary in other regions, and could be challenging for non-native speakers. Once you have the pairings (always one from the left column, and one from the right), place them on the scales. Measure the difference in weight with the tick marks, with the needle tipping away from the heavy side. There are 26 tick marks, so convert the indicated tick to the alphabet.
Odds: I think this is a simpler concept. What are the odds of picking balls of specified colors randomly from the fishbowls? The odds can all be expressed in a fraction of x/26, so convert x to a letter in the alphabet.
