I doubt it, given how Steamgifts is not actually a charity. If you could get tax credit through steamgifts in this way then you could also get tax credit for buying your friend a game.
Alternatively, you could possibly get tax credits on the humble bundles given you are actually giving money to charities there.

Only registered charities which you get a receipt from the charity itself count towards tax credits. [Charities with a registered charity number given to them by the government]. Alternatively you most likely have to pay taxes on the games you buy for gifting. (See tax laws in the country you are filing in and for).
Short answer SteamGifts is NOT a registered charity therefore is not eligible for any tax credits. This will never change.
The Humble Bundles possibly can be claimed but you must read their FAQ else if the Taxman comes for you and you cannot prove that they are an eligible charity you gave the money to and how much you gave to each, you could be SOL. (Not sure how it works when their is a person in the middle handling your donations).
Alternatively SteamGifts could possibly claim infrastructure costs for this site as a business expense.
[Don't get me wrong this info is not a substitute for professional advice].

Just as a thought, would donating games through SteamGifts be considered a donation to charity and thus eligible for tax credits?
