SOOOO we happy few is now only 15€/$15!
I think this game looks amazing but I am not quite sure (cuz like many of you I have a LOT of games to play and stuff haha) if I will buy it or not... I THINK I MIGHT give it a try... 15€ .... I dunno haha

What do you think about this game? Have you tried it? Do you think 15 (without season-pass - with it's 30 meh) is a reasonable price?

:D

MEH

I tried it with the Game Pass and it looks interesting, but I still find it expensive.

Still available on Game Pass iirc. Might be the better choice for anyone tempted to try it out since it's Gearbox publishing and it, at least used to, be quite buggy. It looks boring to me for some reason.

Edit: Also historical low on 2Game. GG.deals listing. I picked up Bulletstorm and Duke 3D there as historical lows as well.

Most of the reviews I read (not steam ones) didn't rate it too good.

Yeah. I totally loved Contrast from the same developer, but this one is way overpriced. I think the full price should've been around what it costs now with 75% off. Still have it on my wishlist but honestly doubt I'll end up buying it...ever.

Happend when Gearbox stepped in as publisher. Not sure why they thought this had AAA production value or that they could push those prices. Not that it's easy to understand anything Gearbox does

I was lucky enough to win the game here a long time ago (I think it might even have been way back before they inexplicably raised the price) and from what I saw and heard, it would seem that the game was actually better back then O.o Somehow, it got worse over the time.

It's a decent survival game set in a unique world; one that gives you a reason to care instead of just throwing you in the middle of some random forest without any sort of context, which is pretty rare in this genre.

They increased the base price... under no circumstances is the 60 EUR price tag justified.

I'm still really salty that they increased the price so much. The game used to be this discount price normally until they got incredibly greedy. I'm still interested in eventually playing the game but considering that the devs decided to steer away from it being narrative-driven to be more of a survival sim, I'm just going to wait until the game gets bundled. Would just advise against buying it for this price and waiting unless you're rrrrrrreally hankering to play it immediately.

It was Gearbox. They became the publishers and then doubled the price. Maybe if the game had been remarkably improved with all that AAA money it might have been justified but it wasn't. The game didn't look or play any better. People say it got worse.

yeah I wanted to say the same thing about the pricing. the doubling of the price is really not cool... still it's like not the fault of the devs or so but the fault of the publisher... it's super shit that they did that but because I was so fascinated from the very beginning of this game bc auf the artwork and stuff it didn't bother me THAT much... I just knew that I would have 2 wait before I will buy it haha.

Got this game, tried to play but combat is just terrible and the sneaking mechanic is bad. Refunded.

I think skills help a lot, or maybe I just got used to it.

I mean, most actions you can do while sneaking will get you out of sneak once they're done. Say you want to sneak kill an enemy, once he is dead you lose your sneaking and everybody around will notice you. Why the hell have sneak kill if it works like this?

oh, I don't remember a situation like that I usually just went to combat but yes, stealth sucks even with skills, they just make it less annoying i guess

Considering the original price was $30 before they doubled it, this feels more like a 50% sale for those who have been looking at buying this game for a while.

Pretty much the case for me. Excluding the exclamation marks. The game will most likely end up bundled with something I do want to play at some point, and if it doesn't it's no big loss.

I assume they've seen gameplay of it. I've both played an early alpha and watched it on YouTube. Let's be honest, it's a $60 price tag, most people who were following the game knows that the price got doubled for almost no reason and that causes lots of rage. You don't hear players raving about how good it was either so it's probably average or below. I enjoyed it but not enough to put more than $10 on it, if it ends up on choice I would definitely pick it, otherwise there are other stealthy story games.

Another would be the price to expectations ratio comparison. Prey, dishonored, the Bioshock collection are ~$10 or under, for $30(We happy few+season pass) you can get Disco Elysium, or Hitman 2 Gold or almost AC Odyssey Ultimate or the XCOM 2 Collection. We Happy few simply hasn't had many recommendations and with the huge number of games available, it's not a high priority buy.

Indeed. I'm actually more tempted to pick up Bioshock Collection on Xbox than this seemingly mediocre game

It used to be a good game with a new and fresh concept before they changed the whole thing while it was EA, now it's just junk so put it where it belongs, in the pile with the rest.

The main campaign is fun, the second one not so much (for me, at least) and you can't skip it to try the others so I just don't know if the rest of the game is worth it because I couldn't bother to keep playing

Not very good. Loved the art design and the concept but the game play is horrendous. The first campaign was alright the 2nd and 3rd were painful but mercifully shorter. Iv heard good things about the dlc but its one to dig up from the bargain bin

I wouldn't say so. Sally has the you know what to care about which is annoying and isn't good at combat. The last one is the crazy Scottish guy. He has diabetes or something so he constantly has to eat, hes good in combat but sucks at stealth. He aggros guards and towns people on sight regardless of the time of day which leads to a lot of sprint a bit and hide in a bin, repeat. The endings for the other two a more of the same from the first and dont really add much

Humble just had it on sale and I bought it there. With the monthly perk the " We Happy Few Digital Deluxe Edition" cost me €17.63, which is a more reasonable price to be honest. I am playing it right now and it is by no means a bad game, but this open world survival mechanism really isn't for everyone. It makes the pacing of the game just awful with these huge empty islands filled with a few quests and POIs. On the other hand the art style is unique, especially in the city when on drugs. Also the few characters you meet are brilliant and especially the side quests are funny and clever.
