Make sure they do a test of her car. Since it is going to court, they may be doing a test of that regardless. I am not certain (since I am obviously no expert in this field), but there is a chance they can tell which direction a car was going when the accident occurred. Is there such a thing as a "black box" in cars? If so, hers would say that she was in motion when the accident happened.
There could also be witnesses or even cameras that caught her in the act. If that can be proven, she will be looking at a lot more than she would have gotten had she just told the truth.
If you are injured, I would also sue the crap out of her (if that is permitted in your country). I'm not a huge advocate of suing, but from the sounds of it, she deserves to be sued.
I hope you'll be okay, and that the truth will find it's way out in the matter. Take care, my friend.

Stop bumping his tread - he already had his car bumped! xD Don't rub salt on the wound. ;)

Ow man, what an unlucky shot. Same happened to a friend of mine in a traffic circle, but at least the liar was immediately punished since he almost got fried by his car's battery while he was clumsily rummaging in his hood >< (he fainted for a couple of minutes but woke up swearing more than immediately after the accident)

Hopefully you'll be able to tell us the story has a happy ending for you and a charge against her! I'll keep my fingers crossed for you!:)

I'm sorry to hear that. Despite all the security and traffic cameras around, and witnesses who never 'see' anything... it's getting to the point everyone should have a dash-cam for incidents like this. :-\
Perhaps you can look into crash forensics/accident reconstruction to help out.
Hang in there and good luck with your case!

That's one of the reasons why I absolutely loathe driving.
Anyway, you got whiplash, not her: keep your medical papers, that helps proving that you were stationary and she wasn't.
Possibly get a signed certificate from a doctor who visited you or something.
I am sure you have contacted your insurance company: insist than both cars are analysed by an expert. Depending on how hard she hit you, it may be possible to again determine that she was reversing into you.
Finally, try really hard to find witnesses!
Good luck!

I have always been called "the calmest guy alive" by friends & family, many, many times. But now I'm pissed off! I had to see my doctor after being in a car accident this afternoon... I have whiplash and if I get more complaints, probably a concussion too (I doubt it because I know how it feels from previous ones before)
So what happened: I was driving at a fairly small oneway street with speed limit of 50km/h and there was a car driving before mine. The car steers to the right side without using a turn signal and stops. So now I am stopped 4-5 meters away from the other cars rear. Suddenly I see the reverse light of the car light up and the car drives in reverse, I sound my horn but it's to late. She hits the front of my car. The driver of the other car steps out and comes to my window. I lower it down and she says, "How are we going to handle this because I need to go and don't have time for this sh*t. I tell her that we will fill out insurance papers. She says I have to hurry or she's gone and it will take to long and starts calling me names. For me it turns easy then, I call the cops to help fill the in insurance papers and calm the woman down. I get out of my car and notice my neck is a little stiff but don't make much of it. While we're waiting for the cops, I tell her why she didn't use the turn signal and why she didn't see I was behind her. She says she did use it and calls me names again so I decide to park my car on the side of the road and let traffic thru and wait there till the cops come. The cops arrive and ask what happen, I explain how everything happened and she steps in between me and the cops, starts crying and says that I hit her car from behind... I just couldn't believe what I was hearing!
This results that our stories don't lign up and police has to make a report of it and it will go to court. I don't know how it works in other country's but if you hit a car from behind in Belgium, you're pretty much always responsible for the accident. So I'm afraid if a judge reads our 2 stories, I am going to be f*cked! I'm really pissed off about the fact she just lied like that. We have insurances for that. I asked around if there were any wtnesses but nobody saw something. Its her word vs mine. I feel angry and upset that people can lie like that. And even though I see these things everyday at work, it's really upsetting me now. When I came home 45 minutes afterwards, my nose started bleeding, my neck was more stiff so that's when I decided to call my doctor. And now we are here with a painkiller and some warm towl around my neck wondering what went wrong. I've had my license for almost 12 years and this is my first (hopefully last) accident. I always take good care of my cars (not fanaticaly but I clean it every week and wash every month) and it turns out like this. The whole front of my car is damaged so I'm thinking of a 1000euro cost if nothing structural was hit, the other cars rear was damaged also. If it ends up being my fault, she'll get paid by my insurance company, I'll have to pay for my car and my insurance fee every month will go up...
I know this isn't the end of the world and many many people have it far worse than I, but I wanted to write this down somehow... I will not loose faith in the good will of people but it did yet recieve another hit. I'll stay positive but today (and maybe tomorrow still) I'm dissapointed and angry. Luckely I have my kids and wife to cheer me up and off course I like the people on SG too so added some gibs... P.S. Sorry for my drama and the absents of a poll :)
tl;dr: car accident - not my fault - other person lied - court - probably f*cked
the statement is a lie!
