Hello and welcome to the madness!
The challenge is simple: Play and beat any 6 games, starting today, that have been featured in any given Humble Monthly/Choice bundle in two months.

The prize: 2x Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart
Note: This means I'm giving away two copies of the game and will have 2 winners.

Game length does not matter and I'm not looking for 100% achievement runs. So long as you play and beat 6 games, I'm happy. You can go easy mode and play a bunch of 1h games or go crazy and play 6 +30h games. So long as they were in a monthly at a given point, it is all good.

Just post a comment with either screenshots/ achievements showing that you fulfilled the criteria and I'll add you on Steam and give you the link. Feel free to share your thoughts on the games you've played, but it is not required.

FAQ:

Why you doing this?

I hate money. That and I realized I've been subbed to the monthly for over seven years (yes it has been that long, I checked) and it occurred to me that I've barely touched the games I've gotten from it, let alone played them. Figured the same would be true for a few others, so I figured this is a good way to change that. A sensible person would probably unsub in this situation, but please refer to the beginning as to why that will not happen.

I've played the first X minutes of a game, can I pick it for the event?

No. You cannot have any play time or achievements prior to the start of the event. The only exception is idle time from farming Steam cards.

Can I play a MP only game?

No. It needs to have an "end" in order for me to count it as beaten, so it needs to have a campaign/story mode.

If a game was sold as a non-Steam copy in a bundle (origin/uplay/drm-free/etc), can I pick it as a choice if I own a Steam copy?

No. The reason being that those who own a Steam copy would have an extra option that would not be available to everyone who bought the same bundle. If the game was originally sold as a non-Steam copy, but Humble later provided steam keys to everyone who bought the bundle, then the game would be allowed.

Why six games?

The first few monthlies had 6/7 games in them so I went with that.

How long are you going to do this?

Until my credit card statements gives me nightmares.

This event "ends" on October 3rd when the next next HB Choice releases, though the giveaway itself will end the next day. If you manage to finish game number six in between that time, feel free to post, but know that I cannot guarantee that I'll be able to give you the link in time.

I enjoyed the exploring, looting and upgrading. I may be a little bit of a loot goblin. Adoring this game, though I feel like the vending machine jingle will be stuck in my head for a long time xD ---- Loved the game. End scenes were nice, letting you know how your choices panned out and what happend to the characters you met/influenced. Tried to pick most peaceful approach. Watching the end credits made me a bit emotional. Think I had a pretty good ending. (Got a bit distracted with side content along the way)

Moonlighter July 2019	Started: August 17th / Finished: August 24th	Hero or Merchant? Discover the mistery of the 5th door	Was recommended to me by a friend. She really enjoyed playing the game, so I am curious to try it as well. --- Loved the game. Reran a lot of the dungeons and had fun. Good game, last boss took me a few tries. End credits and got the achievements "Hero or Merchant" and "Careful Merchant" after beating the boss. Might still do dlc content, will see.
Truberbrook April 2020	Started: August 27th / Finished: August 27th	Live together, die alone.	Decent little game, liked the storyline and general look of the game. Was sometimes a bit confused about what to do though :/
Tiny Tina's Wonderland September 2023	Started: September 6th / Finished: September 28th	At the top of all things	Had a build that works for me and picked up playing again after a small break in the challenge.Was fun trying out weapons etc and I am a loot goblin and like looting (and shooting). -- Overall, some good, some bad, but overall still had a solid experience and had fun. Some random side quests were quite funny imo and quite a lot of references etc.

The Banner Saga 2 / September 2017 bundle / Started on August 3rd / Finished✔ on August 29th Quartermaster	Before playing: The first part that I played last month was a well-made introduction into something epic and likely heartbreaking in the end. It needs to be continued! After playing: Nice escalation but ultimately the same game as the first one: intriguing plot and good tactical combat. They still tease you with "your choices matter" but I suspect, if there is something more than local dialog changes, you can only appreciate it all on your second playthrough.
The Outer Worlds: Spacer's Choice Edition / July 2023 bundle / Started on August 18th / Finished✔ on August 27th Hard	Before playing: Never played Fallout games, so I'm not sure how their clone will play out for me. Will it become my favorite "Fallout"? After playing: I guess the whole genre is an immersive sim diluted in a open world, but It's more superficial and unstructured because of it. Whether you "persuade" or "intimidate" you get virtually the same results, the only pay-off is in role-playing part. Personally wooden delivery of pseudo-corporate satirical talk got me tired pretty quickly, maybe I should blame my ill-conceived attempt to read for lore and hidden details every terminal/console/text I could find, but the reward was only more meaningless babble often not even trying to be entertaining.
Nex Machina / December 2017 bundle / Started on August 27th / Finished✔ on August 30h Rookie	Before playing: My brother played and loved Returnal, it was like a good AAA game out of nowhere. Little research showed that the developer Housemarque are not only veterans but also trailblazers in bullet hell genre. And it's implied that Returnal was simply a next level Nex Machina. I'll check it out. After playing: It's ridiculously uncomfortable playing with keyboard and mouse. To know where you are shooting you just need to give up on moving your mouse, and simply maneuver yourself to get enemies in your line of fire. Other than that the game is colorful fun, very arcade-y, easy to learn, hard to master gameplay.
The Hex / December 2017 bundle / Started on August 30th / Finished✔ on August 31st The Hex	Before playing: I remember watching a review of "Inscryption" where the reviewer casually started talking about special touch that games of Daniel Mullins have. Who? - I wondered. - Should I know him? I heard about "Inscryption", but were "Pony Island" and "The Hex" somehow significant games? I'll try to find out it in "The Hex". After playing: Okey, it's certainly not your usual indie game art project. It has not only effort that I'm sure even the worst games have, The Hex also has competent artistic supervision of where this effort is spent. It's an artistic success even though it may not be to everyone's taste.
Ghostrunner / April 2022 bundle / Started on September 12th / Finished✔ on October 1st Finish line	Before playing: Since I still have plenty of time to finish the challenge I'll take out "short" The Life and Suffering of Sir Brante for something more meatier. And what better for this than a cyberpunk 3d Hotline Miami? After playing: Didn't click with me, but it's not fault of the game. It's just a frenetic "Hotline Miami" style gameplay takes a lot of energy out of me and sometimes it's just not the right time.
⭐Desperados III / March 2022 bundle / Started on August 31st / Finished✔ on September 10th Five Good Shots	Before playing: Just heard that studio Mimimi Games is closing and it's a real tragedy for RTT fans. Maybe I should be crying too, I don't know, I need to play one of their games to find out. After playing: When I'm trying new things, I'm always hoping to find experience like this: ultimate, worldview building, blank spaces fulfilling. You don't have to love it, it's a life lesson. As for me, I liked Desperados III very much, but I still feel that RTT genre wants me to be a man I'm simply not.
