The concept of this album is to mix The black and white world of music (racism appart), hence getting a Grey album.
Has Heavy contribution from Jay-Z.9

The only stuff I liked in regards to Dangermouse was Gnarls Barkley, but you can tell by the second album that CeeLo was less involved in the songwriting stuff.

The Grey album for me holds no interest, but it isnt about bringing black and white music together, it's about bringing Jay-Z's The Black Album samples with The Beatles - The White Album together. I presume any other "concept" was considered later as there was no mention of that when it was released.

Wow, i totaly forgot about the album. dirt off your shoulder was my favorite as it came out and right now im super bumped again.
thanks for bringin this into my mind.

and yea, like BearHugger said: Its called the Grey Album cause of the Mix from Black Album ( JayZ ) and White Album ( Beatles ).
Vocals are from the Black Album and Beats are sampled out of the White Album :)

:D no prob. I actually found it by accident a few months ago. I was searching for more music so I took this album I really enjoyed, Gorillaz, and searched for the producer's works. Found this and This. Did the same for some other album and that's when I discovered danger mouse.

Dunno about hieroglyphics, but Del da phunky homosapien was featured in EDIT: The first album from Gorillaz? - Yeah, I fancy him :D

Del is part of the Gorillaz same as Deltron 3030.

Before this ( and his solo stuff ) he was part of the Hieroglypics :)
thats why he came across my mind when u said gorillaz and posted the 2 links :P

Yea, first Album from Gorillaz. I think on the later ones he was only Co-Producing and stuff like that. Dunno exactly, havent googled a long time into this direction, if you want ill try to get my facts straight :P

Not a huge fan of Jay-Z, and to really enjoy the album you have to like his music. I liked Gnarls Barkley though.
