It's impossible for someone else to tell you if you'll like a game. It's free this weekend and so the best way to decide is to try it for yourself.

Indeed.
I love this game, I got it with some Refined metals, gave the 2 guest passes to two of my friends, one of them hated it and the other loved it.

Personally, I think the game is worth the regular $20 price. I love the game, and would gladly pay the $5 if I didn't already own it. I would simply suggest playing the free weekend and testing it for yourself however, it is very difficult, and some people don't like that.

The whole thing was originally an Unreal Tournament 2004 mod, I personally do think it could use some better texturing/modeling but the gameplay is pretty damn fun.
As for you trd360, just try the free weekend trial, it's a load of fun if you get the hang of it.

Left 4 Dead and Killing Floor is practically 2 different games, aside from zombies and guns. Although, I feel Killing Floor has a lot more to offer.

Killing floor came out before Left 4 Dead 1 and
It has more guns than Left 4 Dead 2.
Not to mention three times the amount of enemy types and extra replayability through a military-ish rank-up system. It's just a much better game for the price, and a total blast to play with friends. It's also very difficult to beat and very satisfying to play (If you enjoy killing organic stuff. Which you'll be doing. a lot).
Summarizing, play the free weekend, see if you like it, and if you do, then buy it because it's very cheap.
I've clocked over 200 hours on it myself, along with plenty of other people.

Killing Floor>Left 4 Dead. In terms of replay value.

Really depends on the person. I have way less than 1 hour of playtime in KF although the guest pass I had was 3 days long. I didn't even feel like going back to it (even with the free weekend going on right now), while I have 77 hours in L4D2. I do agree L4D gets boring after a while, but I always come back to it from time to time :)

You know, this is actually what I was thinking when I was playing it earlier. Unfortunately, due to the initial popularity of L4D, it's now up there with WoW and CoD for games that people compare other games to. I'm not saying I don't like L4D, but just because a game is a co-operative, objective-based shooter (PAYDAY) that doesn't mean it's L4D. Neither does the fact that there are zombies and guns mean it's L4D.
KF requires far more skill than L4D, and you actually have more of a feeling of accomplishment when you beat a level than in L4D.

it's worth buying at twice the retail price, believe me. Multiclass like a badass, slo-mo headshots (sometimes), blow the shit out of some other shit, and most importantly, DOSH! GRAB IT WHILE YOU CAN LADS!

Probably gonna try it sometime this weekend but is it worth it? Is it decent enough to buy for $4.99?
I can't even afford it at this moment but will it be worth it if I decide to buy at another time?
