I am already following you. It may not be my favorite but it is very enjoyable and it is by an indie studio: Simmiland

Slay the Spire is my new favourite card-based game. I had it sitting unplayed in my library for well over a year since I wasn't able to play anything really due to real life. Now it's my most played game on Steam.
Then there's Armello and Hearthstone.

They added a new character into the main game only recently. They didn't resort to making us pay for it in the form of a DLC. I respect that.

Tried LOR in beta but it didn't really stick with me. The animations and voice interactions are great, but the animations always felt they lasted too long. The offense/defense phases didn't particularly interest me either. Might give it a another try now that it's officially launched and receiving regular updates. However many people seem to be enjoying it, so might be a lot of fun.

My favourite card game would be Slay The Spire. Got it for less than 10$ which was an absolute steal! It is one of those games that is just difficult to put down. I'm prone to burning out on games but the short time of a playthrough (20-40 minutes) combined with how fun it is makes it really enjoyable to play another run.

Already following you!
Used to play Hearthstone and then Minion Masters. Dead Man's Draw was a fun run too.
Now playing F2P game KARDS.
When I first started I seem to bang my head in Battle (Ranked). I found the easiest way to learn for me was to play alot of Draft games and not worry too much about Battle. You end up picking up alot of new cards playing Draft.

I would love to play Slay the Spire and Hand of Fate 2. Those both look pretty good.
I see alot of people mention Gwent and one person says the Witcher Gwent is better. I'll have to look into the Witcher version.

Thanks for the follow! Kards definitely looks clean and crisp and the art style is pretty spot on.
As for the Gwent, as far as I know there are 3 versions. Multiplayer F2P Gwent, Thronebreaker: The Witcher Tales which is single player, and Gwent as a mini game in Witcher 3 which started the whole thing. In all cases the reception by the general public was pretty good, so it's worth trying out :)

Hail good people!
New event + FREE GAME!
Our group and curator page is still very young, but we've grown a lot this year! We reviewed a lot of new releases and had a lot of fun! Not all card games are the same though and we certainly had our favorites. So we decided to have a little contest. If you can guess our 3 favorite games released this year that we reviewed, you can win one of these games (your choice!):
Post your answers in our group thread.
Contest lasts until 26th December.
Hail good people!
We, Card GAME KING, are a curator group, which, surprise! is all about reviewing card based video games and finding the next big hit in the subgenre.
We review everything from roguelike deckbuilders (Slay the Spire like) and board game adaptions of popular card games to games being creative with card mechanics.
The aim of the group is to offer a comprehensive list of the best card games on the market making it easier to find hidden gems you may have otherwise overlooked.
We also giveaway games exclusively for our group members (link to it in the curator page) and also make public giveaways.
If you enjoy playing card based video games or just want to support us, consider following us on Card GAME KING
P.S.
If you want to talk we also have a discussion on SG here
