It saddens me...

I think more than a half of the winners of my public/train giveaways didn't say anything, even when I sent a few gifts directly, so they were added to my friends list automatically. I should be sad, but I believe there's no point in sadness, because nothing can change the nature of a man SG user =D

some people dont even say thank you. i got a lot of those. dont like them. they get a game but no appreciation to the gifter. thats sad!

It could probably depend on the game they won too, you wouldn't be in too much of a high spirit after winning some 10 times bundled game with 5000 negative reviews for example

I understand and agree with what you've just expressed. Our modern "open" and "free" society has a hard time saying "thanks"...

If someone wins one of my GAs and doesn't thank me (whether in a comment or personally if I had to add them via Steam to give a gift) then they're blacklisted.

I don't have time for their crap.

Half of the winner said thank you and I always says thank you to the gifter. Its a good manners.
Few got the steam gift, removed friend instantly and not say a word. Feel sad with those.

Honestly, I wasn't sure at the beginning whether to say thanks for winning a giveaway or not because people always say "don't leave thanks!!" on the descriptions /: After a couple I learned I should say thanks after winning. I am more than happy to thank people, but I didn't want to annoy them if they didn't want the notification in their inbox. j/s There are mixed messages being sent with the "thank you's" on here.

Maybe they don't think of the givers as persons. It looks like a part of the large system for them.
Also there're sponsored giveaways in the front on the main page, They normally giveaway more than 50 copies at once and if all the winners say thanks in the comment, the giver's inbox will be flooded in no time. It was the first case I wondered if we should say thanks for the win.
