I recommend you watching Homeland. Already has 3 finished seasons. 4th was announced for this year. Really good one. The Mentalist is not bad either.

well I'll recommend it to you nevertheless cause it gets much better later on. But that's up to you :)

What I mean is that the show is more than 50 years old, and it's all one story. I know people watch only the new ones and they're good with that, but I've read that you need to watch certain episodes from other seasons to really get what's going on. It's not just hey, I start from here and that's all. I forgot about Sherlock, I'm probably going to watch that one.

If you start with the first season of the new series (the one with Christopher Eccleston as the Doctor), you'll be fine.

You definitely don't need to watch the old episodes. They're great for nerds or curious people, but the new series holds your hands throughout while it's re-introducing everything, including the Daleks and Cybermen, pretty much everything. I only started watching the first Doctor when the eleventh said goodbye to the Ponds, and I gotta say it's just not that good. Stick with the new one first, then decide wether or not you want the oldies.

Sherlock deserves the saying quality over quantity.
I was just lazy to watch old epsodes of doctor who but when I don't understand something from story I read them on internet but that solely happens(I don't know is it because it don't bothers me or that kind of episodes is not many) :)

this too. Dexter is on my list to watch too. If only I would have more time :(

Dexter is amazing at the beginning but has some weaker seasons at the end, still worth it.
The Sopranos and The Wire are classics, might be too "slow" for some tastes though.
Sons of Anarchy and Boardwalk Empire both have only one more season to go this year, but both are favorites of mine and if you enjoyed Breaking Bad you most likely will enjoy those, too :)
Oh and also, Lost.

Already watched Lost. I heard great things about Dexter, but apparently they fucked up badly and that's a no for me. I'll keep in mind the others, specially SoA since a friend already talked to me about it, but I think everything starts fucked up from the begining and it's hard to me to start watching those shows (I don't know why I started Breaking Bad in the first place xD).
Thanks!

Start Doctor Who with the ninth Doctor. His season is kind of alright, but not much special. Then David Tennant happens, and you'll be blown away. Have a happy few days of no-life! Oh, it carries on to the Matt Smith Doctor as well.
Other than that, the american version of Wilfred left me with some conflicting feels... Kinda like it's hilarious, but at the same time you're watching a trainwreck about to happen in each episode. It's hard to describe, and it's a rather short series that'll get its last season in the summer, so go for it.
Community is also a rather sweet show. Starts out as a regular sitcom/drama with your usual clichés and everything, but then it goes completely insane, throwing away all kinds of realism. It's like if Friends turned into a live action Family Guy or something, absolutely cute. Just don't mind season 4 too much, that crap is garbage. Also has Gus and Mike from Breaking Bad, not in their respective roles though.
Last but not least, The Venture Brothers. It has some clever jokes that will make you laugh out loud, a lot, and if you ever knew old cartoon series like Johnny Quest, you'll be laughing even harder. What makes it even better is that it has continuity, and a rather interesting storyline to offer. I can't wait for the new season, things have been... interesting there with the boys finding out who and what they really are. Crap, I'd be spoiling it if I talked more about it, just go and watch it already. Probably the best from these four.

Great suggestions. I held off on watching Doctor Who, because I'd watched some of the old school ones as a kid and the culture differences didn't click with me as a kid. The new ones are quite good. But Tom Baker will always be the Doctor to me.
Wilfred's first season was much funnier than the later episodes, which turned off a lot of people. Originally, it was more laugh out loud funny, but then it became more of a dark, twisted, subversive funny and more intellectually interesting. Good stuff either way.
And Venture Bros is comedy gold, filled with geeky references and satire. Amazing show, with far too long in between seasons.

If you liked Breaking Bad, I greatly recommend The Killing. All three seasons are on Netflix. It was an underrated AMC drama following a single murder investigation at a time and does an amazing job of showing the ramifications of crime on the lives of officers, relations of victims, and on communities at large.

Just finished The Last Enemy, not bad if you like this kind of stories.

To me, HIMYM seems to have tappered off after about season 2...and really started winging everything this last season. :/

Start Dr. Who. British TV is of course way better than whatever crap they make in Spain. Make sure you start with the Christopher Eccleston series. Also, Luther is a brilliant British crime drama. And since you're becoming a lawyer, it'd be perfect for you.
I'm not sure if Animation/Anime is your thing (it isn't for me), but Cowboy Bebop is great too.

You're awesome. Those are all excellent suggestions. The first two series of Luther are absolutely brilliant.
Firefly is another thing I always suggest for people. A great show, even though it only went one season. But I think part of the greatness was that it only went one season. It never had the chance to drag on and dilute the quality, like so many shows eventually do.
Pushing Daisies is another great show that is often overlooked. Its got a visual style and writing in line with Dr. Seuss, but with dark humor and a strong sense of the macabre. Maybe Dr. Seuss meets Edward Gorey, with a touch of Veronica Mars?

Hi guys, I finished watching all that's available of Person of Interest, and as a student on exams my life is empty now. Could you recommend me a good tv series to watch? I'd prefer one that's already finished or that has some finished seasons, and
I'm not looking for a comedy show right now.
I've already watched Breaking Bad, The Walking Dead, Game of Thrones and Fringe. I've been wanting to start Dr. Who, but I don't even know how should I start watching it. Also it would be nice if you could talk a little about what you're recommending.
Thank you guys!
Edit: Thanks to all of you, I've started watching Dr.Who, but I'll probably start some of the ones you recommended me to have some variety. I'll leave the thread open in case someone else is looking for something to watch!
