I checked the Steam store, and noticed Transistor was available for pre-purchase.
Most pre-purchase games have like 10% discount, but Transistor doesn't.

GMG usually offers much bigger discounts on preordered games, usually as much as 25%. Plus, you can use additional vouchers to lower the price even more.

Because if you really want get the game you don't need any bonuses to make pre-purchase, that's the all point. Developers stimulate people to prepurchase their product by adding bonuses and discounts, but it's not necessarily, it's not their duty. Don't forget that you prepurchase games to get them as soon as they will be realeased, if you want discount then wait until it will be on discount, on summer sale for example

Sometimes you get a special offer, unique DLC or even complete games. WHen I pre ordered Xcom i got a free copy of Civ V
